Hard Times at the Hard Rock; rock on down the road
Ah, where do you start...maybe with the 30 minute check-in line? No, that's too easy...how about with the fact that they didn't tell you on check-in that you had a package waiting, and so when you walk the half-mile to your room you need to come back to the front desk for it? No, not yet...then the front desk tells you that you need to walk a quarter-mile to the Business Center for it...but wait, they DIDN'T tell you the Business Center is closed!! So, you walk BACK to the front desk, to have them tell you, "Sorry, you'll have to wait." Oh, but it gets better...after an hour's wait, you go BACK to the Business Center...and it's $8 to pick up the envelope sent to you!! Yep...if you don't pay, they send it back!! But let's not stop there...how about if they closed the pool in your tower (you know, the big one) and they channel everyone to the SMALL pool, without enough chairs to go around? Ah, the small joys of the 'resort' here... Then, you decide that you might as well get some use out of the $40 'Resort Fee' that they tack onto the room charge, and sit in the hot tub in the spa...sounds reasonable, right? BUT NO, SKIPPY!! That's another $27/day...you can't use the hot tub, sauna, etc., without paying the 'resort fee-resort fee'!!!! But don't worry...they give you the ability to pay $6/bottle for water in the 'convenience' store, so all of your dignity isn't lost...

The view from our 12th floor room was beautiful. Loved the glass shower and bathroom. However, we had several issues while we stayed. To start, we get there to check in on Sunday the 31st of March and the rooms I reserved in late February, early March were not available. I had reserved 2 king size smoking suites. They only had king non-smoking room and double queen smoking room. We traveled by car from Oklahoma and were exhausted. We took the rooms because we had to. The tv in the living room didn't have a remote control. I called guest services and they sent up a remote control. The tv still didn't work. I again called guest services and they sent up a man to fix it. Our room was not cleaned while we were gone on Monday. We got back to our room at 4:00 to get ready for a wedding. They waited until 5:00 in the afternoon to knock on our door to clean as we were getting dressed for a family wedding and asked them to please come back in 30 minutes, that we would be gone to the wedding by then. They said they would but they did not show back up. Tuesday morning I stopped by the check-in desk and asked that our room be cleaned. He assured me it would be. We got back late Tuesday and the room had been semi-cleaned. Dirty towels removed and new ones left. Didn't even give us clean glasses to drink from. (Ours were dirty on the coffee table - they didn't remove them or leave clean ones). Room wasn't vacuumed. Tulsa OK Hard Rock is much better!

3 Towels - 4 Guests
The hotel experience was disappointing. Let's start with the pros: 1. The casino is well ventilated and felt clean. 2. The beds are comfortable 3. There's decent food The cons: 1. Housekeeping sucks. I called for additional towels 3 times over the course of 2 hours and they were never delivered. Housekeeping didn't supply enough shower towels for the amount of people in our room initially when we checked in so when it was time to clean Vegas off ourselves before going to bed, we were kept up waiting for a towel delivery that never happened. 2. Ugly interiors. The hotel feels like an Affliction T-Shirt. If that's your style, great. You'll love this hotel. For me, it seemed tacky. 3. Saturday they didn't have many tables open during the afternoon which was really annoying battling crowds at certain tables. 4. It's far from the strip and getting a taxi at night was an ordeal. They almost don't have the resources to support large groups trying to get rides to the strip. I hate to dwell on the towel issue but it was so small and so big at the same time. It unfortunately will be the lasting memory from staying there and the hotel isn't cool enough or close enough to the strip to give it a second chance so Hard Rock is off my list of Vegas hotels.

NEVER AGAIN
We were extremely disappointed throughout our stay. First, for the second year in a row, a king bed was not available, we had to settle for 2 queens. We were offered the option to switch rooms on the second day, but it didn't work with our schedule. Second, hot water was not readily available at night throughout our stay, very frustrating when all you want to do is take a hot shower after a long day in Vegas. Third, on the last night of our stay, the suite next to us had a party that began shortly after midnight, the music was so loud it was bouncing off our walls and woke us up. It literally sounded like a night club next door. I made 3 separate calls to complain to the front desk between 1 am and 5 am. Each time I was told security would handle the situation, which they did not. Finally, at 5 am, my wife and I were so frustrated, we got ready and checked out of the hotel. The front desk said they couldn't adjust our rate because it was booked on a 3rd party website and were only willing to waive the resort fees. As a result of the 3rd party issue and the issue with HRH, I will never stay at HRH again and probably won't book on Hotels.com again, since HRH stated they could not adjust the rate because it was booked on Hotels.com. Very disappointing all around!

Very good
Celebrating my 40th in Vegas!
Really enjoyed our stay at the Hard Rock! The service was always great, from the front door man holding the door open for you, to the room service, to the bell desk holding your bags for you, everyone was fantastic. The beds were super comfy and cushy, and the bathroom shower was divine with tile, a rain style shower head, and it was huge! Not sure if all rooms have the same shower through? Food at all the restaurants were excellent, especially their MB Steakhouse. Had the Tomahawk Ribeye, and more with our group, and it was all outstanding. Even their "quick bite" style Mr. Lucky's was quite good, especially breakfast. They are also across the street from the Haufbrau House, which serves awesome German food with an Oktoberfest vibe all year round, a major bonus! Their pools are awesome too, with real sand on the bottom of the pool, and sand under your chairs. Casino is smaller than most on the strip, but the atmosphere is fun and "rock n roll" lifestyle vibe. The hotel was about a mile off the strip, so my only criticism was that their shuttle only ran until 5:00pm. Would be nice to have a shuttle that ran a bit later to at least get you down to the strip after dinner, or taking a quick power nap. But uber and lyft pick up spots at the hotel make that easier too, with an average ride being about $10 to The Linq or Cosmopolitan. Overall really loved the Hard Rock, and would stay again anytime!
