Great Hotel
Clean, spacious updated rooms, bed was comfy, awesome accommodating staff at front desk. Complimentary coffee and tea. We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't rate that. So many great places to eat nearby. Strongly recommend Hamiltons. Yes valet service was 47.00 plus garage tax of 8.++. Wish it weren't so but expecting a free parking lot in the middle of a bustling city is asking a bit much! Plus it's a crazy place to drive anyways! I saw other signs for valet service that were well over 60.00 for an overnight. I gave a 4 star only because I thought we would be closer to the main attractions ie. Smithonian museums and water front but they were a bit of a walk but we don't mind walking a LOT so it was fine but expect to do a lot of walking unless you choose other modes of transportation. It is close to the Whitehouse though! The only negative thing I'll say about our room was the shower head in the big spacious shower....little pressure and water coming out and made for much longer showers. Needs a replacent. Would stay again!

Great Staff - torturous mattresses in our room...
The staff was AWESOME - super friendly, very welcoming - even made recommendations as to where we should go eat and what local attractions were nearby. Room was clean, beds and bathroom were all neat and orderly. However, the actual comfort of the room (specifically the beds) left a LOT to be desired. The room was advertised as a double queen (we had the last room in the hall - handicap accessible, but not sure that had anything to do with my next comments) and while I certainly didn't have a tape measure to get exact length and width of the beds - they certainly felt a lot closer to doubles as opposed to queens. In order to fit in the beds we each slept with one of our small children as to have more room. Plus - they were without exaggeration the most uncomfortable mattresses I have ever felt in any hotel. I have spent the night in Motel 6s, Ramada Inns, Comfort Inns, practically every Marriot owned sub-brand, Westins, Vegas Resorts, even 3rd world Hostels - and I can honestly say this was one of the worst sleeping experiences I have ever tried having in a hotel. I thought it was all in my head as I tossed and turned through the night until my spouse confirmed the next morning their experience was just as bad. I am sure the staff would have been very apologetic if we brought it to their attention - but we had an early morning road trip ahead and were in a rush to check out.

Maid did not clean room
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Hilton overall due to its convenient location in downtown DC. My issue is that the maid did not clean our room. We had no clean towels and wash cloths as a result of this. After I called the front desk, a maid came at 6 pm and only gave us clean towels and wash cloths. She did not clean the tub and sink. I did not expect this and have never experienced this at a Hilton hotel!

Dissapointed by unfriendly and rude staff
The stay was mediocre, location is excellent, walking distance to all major attractions and National Mall. However, the staff was rude, inattentive and there were an array of issues with checking in and plain communication. Beware of the hotel room description, as we were told by the Hotels.com site that the room with a king bed guaranteed to have a sofa bed or pull-out bed, but at the checking in the concierge told us that it was false advertising, they bare no responsibility and offered a roll-out bed, to which we agreed. Few hours later, concierge called us to inform, that they can not find spare roll-out bed, and offered us to give extra sheets and blankets for my 16-years old daughter to sleep on the floor (!) Not exaggerating, not even a blow-up mattress. On top of this - the person who delivered this news over the phone, hanged up when I was trying to express my disbelieve that my daughter has to sleep on the floor (my husband is a large man - so sleeping all three people on the bed was out of question). I have never experienced such rudeness from Hotel staff in many places we traveled. Last thing - wifi internet is very-very bad. End note, eventually they found roll-out bed and charged us extra $100, no apologies issued.

Garden Inn
Staff were super friendly. Gym was cramped and treadmill broken. Internet was awful. Moorgi at breakfast was so nice and cheerful. I stayed here once before but this time disappointed with some of the items...noted above. If these get fixed and updated, I’d certainly stay here again!
