Good hotel, nice location, helpful staff, convenient for most, very next to Omonia station - handy for travel. Breakfast was good value, but as we stayed for 5 days it became monotonous and boring by the end, as it is the same menu everyday, may be one or two dessert changes. They gave two bottles of water per room for entire 5 days- seems their policy, staff didn't like it when questioned- immediate unhappy expression noticed. They agreed if the booking is split for each day the multiplication factor would have come in, ironic, but why would one split booking! Bottle cost would be €1.
There was also discrepancy from hotels.com booking, where 1 room was booked, which should give €3 tax/day, ended up double for us for 5 days, as they had booked family suite with 2 connecting rooms. It would be unfair to blame the hotel, may be the booking site should take the flak. The booking receipt is explicit for €15 = £13.28 - no credibility here.
Overall we heard from travel guide, taxi drivers and local shops that Omonia in general is not safe in Athens. You can notice that from guys hanging out there. One should avoid lonely, dark and side streets at the backend of thd hotel. So it kept us on our feet all the time.
