Room was terrific. Most hotels in San Diego are far more expensive. Location is near most everything.

Good hotel for a cheap price. Theres lots of restaurants around and also a brewery. It was very clean and safe because the rooms are gated.

To be avoided if traveling as a family
I traveled in motels quiet a bit but never had such a bad experience at check in! We arrived at night which first I do not recommend as the neighborhood is very sketchy (strip club across the street), and does not make you feel very safe. Although the motel is I guess kind of safe because of completely fenced and you can only get in with your room card, the feeling does not really disappear, especially when you are giving a card for a room that is already occupied! We opened the room that was assigned to us and the tv was on, signs of people occupying the room like food and clothes but nobody answering when we called to see if somebody was in there! Again, scary! And when told the reception, the person apologized and said he was sorry as the room didn’t appeared as checked in in his system!! He then gave us another room and all was good after that but we were happy to be quickly out of there the next day! The only positive thing was that at least the rooms are big, clean and pretty confortable, which was a relief.

Okay place
It is in a rough neighborhood but it seems fine. The hotel is clean enough. The beds are comfortable. The parking is $5 a night and the spots are sized for smart cars.

Shady Area
The price says it all. Uncomfortable beds and a strip club across the street.

Poor 2.0
I hate it here
Horrible!!! I’m literally writing this from the room and I haven’t even checked out yet, I’m so irritated lmaoooo I originally passed this hotel up on my first booking for my road trip because, just from the pics, it just gave me a bad vibe, but when our original hotel cancelled because covid-19, this ended up being the one we went with. MAN do I wish I listened to my gut and picked a different one. First thing, I get here, the hotel won’t accept my debit card, even though it went through fine on the site I booked it with, so I had to get my boyfriend to come in and use his card, a minor annoyance after a day of traveling, but whatever. I brushed it off. These jokers put us in room 114 on the bottom floor. There’s a giant metal gate surrounding the floor and our poor unfortunate room happened to be right where the heavy gate door was. So ALL NIGHT we hear people entering and exiting this gate that SLAMS shut every freaking time it’s used. I literally woke up every single time it opened throughout the night because the walls are so goddamned thin you can hear everything outside. Secondly, awful customer service!!! The smoke alarm in our room started chirping very loudly to indicate it had a low battery. Simple fix, right? Just send maintenance over to replace the battery, right???? Nope. We called in (on our own cell phones because the hotel phone isn’t working either lol) to tell them about it and they said they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it until tomorrow.

Don't stay here it's not a safe place
Listen to the negative reviews about this place. I wish I would have listened. The room had a weird dingy smell, and the AC kept shutting off on us. There were multiple strands of hair on the bed when we arrived. The absolute worst part is the environment. They make you pay 5 dollars per car for parking in their lot, which isn't great but if it meant that gave you some extra security about the parking it would be ok but it didn't. At a certain point in the evening a few homeless druggies began filtering in the parking lot and stuck around. Throughout the night even more came and hung out in the parking and partied all night. They weren't shy about hanging around our cars either. The management didn't really do anything about it. Bottom line, don't stay here. It's not worth the price or not feeling safe. I have stayed at motels in some rough areas but this one was the worst.
