Staff is kind, hotel itself is 'meh,' overpriced
Synopsis: Hotel didn't suck, but I wouldn't stay here again at the current rate. Location is super noisy all night long and area is a touch sketchy. Beds wobbled so much I thought the frame might be broken and soft to the point of discomfort (and I like a soft bed). I checked the other bed in the room — it was the same — they're just made that way. Room itself is spacious, the bathroom is postage-stamp-sized with barely enough room to stand up from the loo w/out running into the door. We never did figure out how breakfast works ... they called it a "brown bag grab-n-go" breakfast, but there were no bags for grabbing. Pool was down, no elevator ... lots of inconveniences / subpar details.

First and last time booking here
The first thing I noticed about my room was the pretty visible gap after closing the door. I didn’t felt safe. Easily anyone could have opened the door from the hall. Second, acoustic was horrible. I was able to hear everything from the hall. Third, the mini fridge was loud and it was extremely distracting. The sound made it difficult to fall asleep. Overall I will never stay at this place. The free breakfast was —- pretty poor quality. I Mohave stayed in hostels internationally and I had better breakfast in low cost modest hotels in Europe in comparison to this place.
This gap was around 1/4”~ 3/16”.

Clean and comfortable
The people at the desk were cheerful and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. I slept very well there. As much as I enjoyed the stay, I should mention a couple things, two of which are just errors in Hotels.com’s listing and not off-putting. One is that check-in time is 3:00 PM, not 4:00 as Hotels.com has it. Also, at check-in I was told there is a $50 fully refundable damages deposit required, which will not go back on my card for 3-5 days. That took me very much by surprise & I do think it should have been more prominently listed. The other thing to be aware of is that the less expensive rooms are up one floor and there isn’t an elevator. There is a large area at the bottom, so multiple trips are an easy option if you’re packed for a long trip as I was.
