    We have stayed a several different hampton inns in different states. This was the first one we were unsatisfied with. There was not. There was minimal toiletries in the bathroom, the was a lot of noise late at night above us (sounded like a bed being rolled back and forth across the floor), and in the morning housekeeping tried coming into the room. We had not checked out yet, it was only 9am. She knocked then attempted to walk in, but deadbolt was on the door. This has never happened to us at any hampton inns. We did not say anything at checkout, as no one was there, just a bowl to leave the keys.

    At check in the staff/ownership was not helpful, and did not wear masks. We did not feel valued or appreciated as customers. The bedroom area was updated and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom was very disappointing. There was mold in the grout, there was tape stuck to a wall in the shower surround and debris in the tub from a previous guest, the wallpaper was peeling off, and the bathroom smelled like urine (perhaps because the shower curtain had not been washed). We’ve stayed in other Hampton Inns. The Richfield property does not live up to the standards we’ve come to expect from Hilton. Please share my review with Chris Nassetta. We overlapped at UVA. I respect his hard work on behalf of Hilton, especially in this time of covid. Thank you

    Very disappointed

    The General Manager seemed to go out of his way to make life difficult as possible during our arrival at the hotel. 1. Upon arriving at the hotel, he greeted us nicely but could not find my name in the reservation database. We informed him that we made the reservation under Hotels.com and we had to change our arrival date. This change was within the cancelation/change reservation time window (48h prior). He continued to inform us that he couldn’t find my name, to call Hotels.com as it was their mix-up, and that at this time the hotel was completely booked. We called Hotels.com while in the lobby of the Hampton Inn and spoke to one of their agents. She informed us that at her end, the change was made over two days ago and it should be in their system. She put us on hold and called him. I had said that when I called in earlier the hotel only had 15% of their maximum occupancy and he answered that is correct. I also checked directly of the Hampton Inn Richfield Hotel website to confirm that three rooms remained available and showed the manager my phone. He mentioned that there are rooms but you have to book through Hilton. To me, this was contradicting what he said originally “our hotel is fully booked.” He encouraged me to cancel through Hotels.com and book from his website. Hotels.com would take care of it and called the manager again and was able to send him the information so that the Hilton website was updated.

    Check in started off badly with being assigned a room at the very end of hallway with handicapped bathroom. Spoke with Front Desk to change room near elevator. The young guy said all rooms were booked which I doubted because there were stickers on the room door and this was already 5 pm. It took him a while but finally gave us a room close to elevator. He was stingy with giving us shampoo & conditioner. The good thing about our stay was the bed and pillows were comfy for a good night's rest.

    The woman working the afternoon shift and the man working the midnight shift were not very nice. They were ride to us and other people also. The lobby had a funny smell like mildew. Didn't have the roll away bed. First said it was broken then said it didn't have sheets on it and housekeeping had already left.

    Great manager

    We spent a night in this hotel in our way back home from Chicago. The hotel was very clean and the location was very convenient- close to the 80 and to a national park (Cuyahoga Valley). The best part was the manager, Ms. Shah. I accidentally left my wedding ring in the hotel after checking out and called as soon as I realized it. Ms Shah went to the room to look for it and called me back with the good news. She was super-sweet and honest. If you need a hotel in that area, I recommend this one!
