Bucket List Golf Experience
Exceeded my expectations on every level. The staff of Bay Hill bent over backwards to make my stay an experience of a lifetime. They made me feel like I was a member of the club. I belong to a Country Club and I have never been treated as well as I was treated during my stay at Bay Hill. The front desk staff welcomed me every time I walked in the door and took care of any request that I made. The Bar staff was extremely friendly and answered all of my many questions about Mr. Palmer. The girls that work the snack stand and beverage cart were outstanding. The food and drinks in the restaurant were reasonably priced and very high quality with superior service by the wait staff. The best meal I had in Orlando. The golf course was in good condition and challenging yet fun to play. The Golf Shop staff worked with us on tee times and even found a way for us to play the back nine again after our round. The Lodge and Golf course were excellent but, it was the staff's personal attention caring nature that put my stay over the top!

The ultimate if you are a golfer!
I stayed cause of location in relation to our itinerary it was a short trip to our destination and didn't have to use I-4!! The room was nice and very clean, the linens were fantastic slept very well. The bathroom was updated and very nice with double sinks! I've never seen double sinks in any previous hotel we've stayed! The golf course is a pga televised course. I'm not a golfer. They had some decent amenities however the spas were men's on one side womans on the other! I came to spend time with my wife so I couldn't use my favorite amenity! We also couldn't use the resteraunt or lounge cause of dress code! I refuse to dress up to eat or drink when I'm on vacation attempting to relax not be stiff in a collared shirt and pants without my flip flops! All in all the pros outweighed the cons and we would stay again just for the convience of location. So I give it a full five stars. Just because it's not our style or interests we chose to stay at a golf resort. And for what it is it's done excellent. It's quiet and peaceful it has a rural setting but minutes from all the things to do! It only has 70 rooms so it's not too crowded and busy. It was everything we expected and more. Love the door locks on rooms. You just hold card to reader and you hear it unlock! Very nice you don't have to slide it in slot ten times to get it just right to open!

Poor
Undoubtedly my worst hotel stay EVER.
The hotel was publishing the room at Expedia as Deluxe King bed. "Limited Time: Free spa access for 2". At my arrival I ask what exactly that entitles and does it usually cost extra money for guest to enter the spa. The front desk response was that the spa is always free for guests. My initial response was simply "So why is this advertised as 'Limited time free access' isnt that false advertising?". I did not take to much of a notice to it and was happy to go to my room and get some rest. Well they checked me in a double bed instead of the advertised and BOOKED Deluxe King. Coming back to the front desk they said that Expedia only sends them a request for a king and they give me what they have. THIS IS A 4 STAR RATED HOTEL. When i booked the room in Expedia it was booked as "DELUXE KING BED" not "DELUXE DOUBLE BED" so the hotel can chose their booking options at Expedia and could have shown me a double bed but chose to use FALSE ADVERTISING once again. After a 10 Min discussions with the front desk it was clear none where willing help or yet alone care. So back to the room to deal with an unhappy girlfriend. I checked in Late so the next day i came back to the front desk and asked to cancel my renaming 2 nights, checkout and get a refund for the remaining nights. Their words where "WE DO NOT PROVIDE REFUND YOU CAN CHECKOUT BUT WONT GET YOUR MONEY BACK" Please do yourself a favor DO NOT check in at this hotel, It is the most HORRIBLE travel experience I've every HAD

Very good
It was an experience
Not much to do after sundown, the pool is closed. On the other hand during the day when the pool is open you are at their mercy to get access inside and out of the pool area. I believe in security as much as they do but please don't make me have to wait until one of the staff is available to let you in as well as exit the pool area. A key card should be sufficient as with any hotel I've experienced. I literally had to yell through a closed window on the other side of the locked gate to get the attendants attention to let me out. The only reason I needed access was to be able to get to the poolside snack bar to get a little something for my grandson and myself before departing. The bed was comfortable but there was an odor coming from the air condition vent, like a musty smell. I had to change my first room and the second one wasn't much better but the housekeeper sprayed a room freshener to mask the mildew smell. The lodge itself was very nice, somewhat close to the area where I needed to be. The lodge staff were very accommodating and friendly. The evening of check in it was impossible to get a chance to use the pool since it closes around 6pm, so it made for a somewhat boring evening.

Flood
We we're woken up by a fire alarm due to a water line breaking and flooding our floor. We were asked to evacuate without our luggage, in foot high water. The hotel staff told us that when we got back into the hotel wed have a new room and our luggage would be in there. When we returned several hours later, we were given a new room (on the other side of the hotel) but when we got to the room, no luggage. We called the front desk and were told that we'd have to come get the luggage because they didn't know which one was which. We had to go back across the property to get our luggage and then bring it back to our room. For all the inconvenience, wet shoes and socks the hotel offer no compensation, in any form.
