Great kids stay
Oaks was a great resort for our kids. All of those water play facilities were excellent. Staff seemed a bit cold however, so that could be improved

In room WiFi & TV not happening
The free to air channels were heavily pixilated and sound distorted so only left with Fox (never used before - seemed to be all sport, not a fan). Thought I would salvage entertainment by streaming on my laptop but the WiFi was from the nineties. Ended up watching the Today Show on my phone in the morning using my own data. The Receptionist said she could get the wifi fixed but that TVs were the same throughout the area! Cancelled my second night and went to a Holiday Inn a few miles away with excellent TV reception and WiFi

The Oaks hotel Caloundra
I found a few ants in my room on my bed though the worst of the worst was stepping in my room finding it smelt very very musty. I felt that room making me uncomfortable as I couldn't sleep good and felt like builders dust was getting thrown into mine and my mother's room. All staff were best and tidy, comfortable and professional and friendly though the room I was uncomfortable

The rooms are not being maintained. So dirty and most of the things are easy fixes especially with the cleaning. You can tell they are not being cleaned, sinks showers even the fridge had food and hand marks on it. I wouldn't use the kitchen on my worst day. The room stunk had a stale-mouldy smell. Even the lamp shades had drip stains on them, carpet and couches have not been cleaned in years, they had huge stains on them. Beautiful property. Maintenance is just letting them down. Breakfast was terrible and disorganised. No effort from staff at all.
