Very happy with room.
Stayed at Howard Johnson’s Portsmouth one night for college visits. Great place, great stay. . Quiet inside and area outside hotel. Room decor is contemporary and cheerful. Room very clean. Would definitely recommend this for a short stay. No restaurant, but coffee was in the lobby in the morning. We were very happy with the room. Coffee maker, small fridge and iron in the room!! Very inexpensive too!

Overall, this is a great place for the price. We loved the bathroom for the oversized counter. The Wi-Fi worked great and there were fresh baked cookies on arrival. The free breakfast was minimal, but free. The only complaint was the shower didn't work. They gave us a discount but.......
