Nice hotel close to the airport
We had great stay. Rooms/beds were clean and comfortable with a good breakfast. One thing though, you must be aware that this hotel is not near Reykjavik town. We took the taxi from the hotel to town one way was Krone15,0000 around GBP£110. If taking the bus then there are two buses to get there. Bus number 55 will stop part of the way then you’ll need to catch another connection bus number 1 after that. Do check out transportation or taxi fare first before making a booking as we spent quite a bit of money on taxi/buses fares from the hotel to Reykjavik there and back. It’s our fault as we didn’t know how far our hotel was from the town centre nor did we do our homework properly before we booked hotel out of town. Think it was about 45 mins in the taxi but with two buses about an hour. But the waiting time can be long for these buses during the weekend also depend on if you can catch them or make the connection in time or know where to find the bus stops. It is very expensive place for everything so be prepared to pull out your credit cards.

I booked this hotel 11 months in advance through Expedia and guaranteed it with a credit card. Expedia failed to notify me that my card's expiry date was beyond the check-in date (I didn't think about this either), so imagine my surprise when I arrived at the hotel at 3:15 pm only to be told my reservation had been cancelled because I didn't show up by 2 pm to provide a valid credit card. Wow! They did send me an email at 1 pm telling me I had ONE HOUR to provide a new card or they'd cancel the reservation. Well, I was in transit and didn't get the message. After some discussion, I did manage to get my two rooms reinstated as a new reservation and even received two large suites in the same class as my original booking. It is high season here, and they said the rooms would have been quickly sold if I'd arrive later. To management: please provide at least 24-48 hours notice to your guests if there is a problem. One hour is absurd. To Expedia: do a validation check on credit cards to assure this won't happen to anyone else.

Decent place for a night.
Solid choice for a hotel close to the airport. We reserved 3 queen rooms and they gave my mother a twin bed saying that since she was alone that was what they gave (regardless of what was reserved). Otherwise very accommodating staff. I would not stay here for an entire trip but for one night was decently serviceable. Staff did a good job of getting us to the airport (with 6 travelers and 10 bags). Bar/Restaurant was closed for a private party on the night of our stay. Breakfast buffet was good (better than normal US standards). As typical for many Euro hotels the 'queen' bed is just 2 singles pushed together. Amenities are basic (wall mounted soap dispenser in shower) but all in all I would stay here again.

6 mins drive from the airport and very comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to help us get settled, book tours and find places on the map. Really really lovely - I cant stress that enough. Room was clean and comfortable. The hallway did have a bit of an odour but only in the evening so I think it was from the restaurant. Be mindful if you’re a couple however- as we could hear the people above and beside us. Lol. Breakfast was lukewarm when we got there (8am) so maybe go earlier? Parking was free and it was easy to get around the peninsula and to the Blue Lagoon (just 20 mins away). Ideal if you’re not fussed about staying in Reykjavik or want a quieter break.

Really nice hotel. Can't go wrong
What a great place to stay overnight on my flight back to Canada. The weather was stormy, so I chose not to go to Reykjavik for the few hours that I had there. Lots to see in Keflavik; no need to go elsewhere. The locals were sooooo very friendly as well as the hotel staff. Great place to stay for a day or two! Lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The Park Inn is a very modern and clean hotel. Very, very nice. This is the best place I have stayed in for the money. Excellent staff and restaurant! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Keflavik!
