Great location hotel
The Leonardo is a nice hotel in a great location. Walking distance from Waverley station and the royal mile. The lobby is nice with complimentary water and juice and the staff are very friendly. They offered us Prociutto at checkin. We were upgraded to a room with a bigger shower. Rooms were average. Clean. Beds were comfortable. My biggest complaint us that they only give you 1 bath towel per room when there are more than 1 person staying in the room. You have to constantly request more towels from the front desk. Also there are no wall hangers anywhere in the room or bathroom to hang up towels or clothes. We would stay here again.

Our room was very well appointed and spacious. The only (minor) issue is that we could hear the lift mechanisms all night. The breakfast was very generous and delicious. The location was convenient.

Nice trip. Hotel has an identity issue in that the local addresses are not posted in your web presence. There are four Leonardo’s in Edinburgh with only one (Haymarket) which appears with an address.

The location is excellent and the rooms were gorgeous, beds comfy! But the staff was the best! Definitely stay for breakfast - delicious and affordable and Kym and Chef Kelvin will make sure you are well taken care of!

The stay was fine apart from the comments above.
Unfortunately we were allocated a room with a view over a building site as shown below. It was not mentioned that they could have changed the room until we were checking out. We did ask for a second chair to be put in our room on our second day but it did not arrive. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant on our first evening but found our vegetables were not sufficiently cooked.

Lovely hotel and situated close to the train station if you are traveling by rail, shops and local site seeing places only minutes walk away. Lots of different places to dine also not far. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top class hotel to stay in with great atmosphere.
