Hotel was booked for 2night stay,room was ok,bed was so comfy,tea/coffee in room and you could go help yourself to more ,girl on reception booked our tickets for train and was so helpful,ate out both nights so cant comment on food ,for the price we paid cant complain really,would definitely go again

Mixed stay.
No housekeeping during my 3 night stay even though i left the key as stated. Breakfast could have been better, no idea why you have to order a fried egg, for it then to arrive after i had almost finished my breakfast, then the next day it was there before i finished my cereal so it was cold by the time i got my hot items. Gave up on 3rd day!! Only found fruit on last morning, needs more signage. Evening meal was adequate.

Not as expected. Would not stay again.
Booked a 'Superior double room' based on the on-line pictures. When we arrived the Receptionist was very friendly and told us " you've got a nice room" - which I found reassuring. Unfortunately, it was not what I would call 'Nice'. One of the curtains was hanging off. the paint was lifting off the wall by the window, the lamp was cracked and the walls were uneven. We were only staying for one night and as the bed was clean we didn't really mind. It wasn't until the morning when I tried to have a shower that I realised the shower was useless. There was no water pressure, it simply dribbled out and the temperature ranged from 'cold' to 'freezing' no matter which way I turned the knob! Breakfast was edible, but the staff were attentive, friendly and polite so fair play to them. It was a pity that my chair was stained and the food was bland. Granted, we had not paid a lot for our room but we assumed that this was because the Hotel is a long walk from the main part of the town. I don't think it is too much to ask that the shower would work. The staff were all friendly and doing a good job in a mediocre Hotel.
