I loved, loved, loved this hotel. Convenient to station where there are trains, trams & buses that go to airport, CBD, Harbour or Bondi.Rooms are updated and had great views. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond.

Great handy location near central station. Room and hotel were clean and comfortable, staff helpful. Window view of dilapidated building left a little to be desired, however the sheer blind resolved this and we were mostly only in the room for sleeping on our sightseeing trip.

Very good
Lovely building, looking a little tired but good to hear the renovations happening, terrible smell sometimes around outside of building, unfortunately no indoor pool due to renovations. Fantastic breakfast and good service.

The swimming pool was closed and we weren't advised as guests, and my son was very disappointed.

The Mercure Sydney is currently being renovated. The room I was in was newly renovated and it was pleasant. Unfortunately the new bathrooms have some impractical elements such as no room around the hand basin for toiletries and the shower recess is partly open and allows water to spray out into the bathroom. There was no luggage rack in the room. The airconditioning was very noisy at night and it was tricky to find the switch to turn the night light off. I was also charged for a breakfast I didn't have and it will take 5-10 days for a refund!

Location is great. WiFi connection was poor and I had a hard time to keep it connected.

Could not find gym, pool closed for renovations, air conditioner not working.

Pool was closed for renovation. If I had known this was the case I would of chosen else where. I should have been advised of this along with renovation in progress. Hearing constant hammering over two days. Starting at 7am was disappointing. Again if I knew the hotel was being renovated I would of stayed else where. Their temporary gym was terriable with only four machines. Seriously it’s Mardi Gras weekend. Surely someone in planning should of held off renovations over this weekend.
