We arrived at the hotel which was lovely to look and the foyer was pretty too. My best friend is heavily pregnant and yet we weren't given any assistance with taking our bags up to our rooms. The room was to be honest nothing like what the photos looked like, it was very small, we had a view of a busy road and there were hardly any amenities. We went straight down to dinner, where we ordered salads and a glass of wine, although there was only two to choose from by the glass. The salads took nearly 45 minutes to arrive and the wine was undrinkable.

There is no hotel in London quite like this one. The staff are personable, caring and nothing is too much trouble. A true delight from the moment you step inside the front door. The hotel has a wonderful smell and atmosphere throughout. Rooms are clean, modern and extremely comfortable. This is my go to hotel if staying in London.

Lovely staff and beautiful building, but the standard rooms are very small. Some of the amenities have been taken away due to COVID-19 which is a shame.

Covid made it feel 4 Star
The rooms felt more 4 Star than 5 Star - a bit better than before the upgrade, but not as luxurious as normal 5 Star. I assume the lack of toiletries, robe, slippers, chocolates, nice cushions etc is because of Covid? If so, it would be worth a little note in the room to tell us that. The young man who carried our cases was lovely, a real asset to the hotel.

Superb Dog-Friendly Stay, Extra Hygiene Measures
We had a fantastic stay - the team was extremely welcoming and always ready to help (without being too much and whilst keeping distances which made us feel reassured but also not too strange in these strange times), the building and facilities are stunning (rooms very comfortable, clean and gorgeous, plenty of space to keep safe and distant, hand sanitizer and extra measures, loads of history too), we had a lovely dinner at the restaurant (food was superb) too... We loved how welcome our dog was also made and that dogs can go to a lot of places in the hotel and are well taken care of too by the staff (the room had a bed for him, bowl and treats). A perfect place to treat yourselves. Thank you to everyone in the team for a much needed staycation, the only problem was that it was too short... We will be back!
