Stayed here Memorial Day weekend. It was the cheapest room we could find on the beach. Of course I suppose you get what you pay for but considering it was $300 for one night it was a little concerning the condition of the room. The hot water work entirely too well, and if you wanted to be scalded then definitely take a shower. Only one lamp in the entire apartment had a working light bulb, so it was a little dark. I wasn't about to ask the front desk for 6 light bulbs. All in all I would probably still stay there again. The beds were decent, and the room had a great View, but it looks like the room (601) had some remodeling done but they never finished. There was still spackling on the walls in spots and the bathroom sink didn't have hot water. Perhaps all the hot water went from the sink straight to the shower since obviously the shower head extra hot water. The refrigerator didn't seem to work either. All in all was it safe? Yes. Would I stay there again? Depends on pricing of the room. We were on a tight budget so I was willing to overlook a lot of these items. It looked like they were still working on remodeling some things around the hotel so hopefully in the future they'll come back to this room and get it finished.

Let me start by saying this, the staff at the hotel was good. Not really sure but I think maybe New ownership. Great location on the beachfront etc. Now the disappointment. Rooms are in need of an upgrade. Although the living room area which is on the oceanfront side is bright and sunny, the bedroom is very dark and although it has a window, who wants to open the blinds so passersby can look into your privacy. Furniture in my opinion is in need of an upgrade as well as the carpeting. Here's the last thing I'll say. In all of the years that we've been coming to Virginia beach, we have never been attacked by bedbugs. I'm sorry but it has to be said because a week later, we are still itching and treating ourselves. Trying not spoil our good memories of our time but it must be said! Also I must say that the area the property needs to be addressed. I am a very caring person and love to help my fellow man or woman in need whenever possible but having the homeless living basically near your doorstep is not a good look. Especially when you need better lighting to your beach access. Addressed, those things I mentioned would make this a very good hotel!

I mostly didn’t like anything! I called after I made my reservation and asked for check in before the usual check in time, they said yes. When I got to the hotel they didn’t have any rooms and I tried to speak to the lady in the main office she said that she didn’t know anything about the hotel information! I asked for the manager and she was using her phone watching videos and then said “sorry I don’t know who’s the manager. I waited so long to get my room! The light we’r working and I told the manager. He said thanks but I don’t know what’s happening anyways when you get your room you won’t have to stay in the hallway! It was very disappointing I would never stay there in my life! I think what I’ve paid is not fair with the attention and costumer service. I wasted my money; I could’ve stay on the streets.

Never again. Many better options at Va Beach.
When we checked in, the front desk tried to add on a $ 6/night charge for "Resort Fees and Service," initially without my knowing it. This was done by asking me to sign an electronic registry with no explanation of what I was signing. On asking what the signature was for and repeating I wanted to see what I was signing, I saw these extra charges. I refused saying I had already paid in full through the web site and there were not supposed to be any added charges that were not stipulated in the document so this was eventually dropped. It struck me as an unethical scheme to trick people into paying this additional money, outside the terms of the agreement. Shameful! As per the motel.... the patio door didn't lock while the front door didn't close well, there were holes in the walls, trim peeling off the walls, some sticky substance sprayed on the patio window and generally very dirty around the elevators and common areas. I could go on with negative comments but it makes me sad to remember the place. It looks like the owners don't care or put any effort/$ into maintaining this property. My wife commented "this is the worst place we have ever stayed" and we have stayed in many places..... globally. It's sad because the hotel is in a nice location, right on the beach but the rest of these issues ruin it.

Very disappointed, save your money
I will be honest, other than the view this place is complete waste of money. There are not enough parking spots for the number of rooms so the guest have to drive around to find paid parking or parking meter spot. The hallway lights flicker and give a creepy ambiance. The room had a smell of moisture and mold, paint was chipped, the bulbs didn't work. we were supposed to get 2 double beds ad a sofa double bed. There was no sofa bed. Instead there was a single cot in the room, which had a bed sheet and pillow that looked recently used. Furniture was stained, carpet had not been vacuumed, the sink above the fridge was full of ants. The beds had a plastic under the sheet that made it uncomfortable to sleep on. The sliding door rattled and shook and the curtain rods were falling off. To our disappointment, the pool was non-functional. There was a sign to use the pool at super8 motel pool next door, but super 8 motel had a sign that their pool was closed till further notice. My kids were completely disappointed.
