Family Friendly, Easy on your budget
The kids absolutely loved it. The pool is heated and the hot tub is amazing! The suite we had came with a kitchenette, dishes, insta pot to make rice, but could make so much more home cooked meals. A fridge big enough to hold 12 cans of Arizona green tea, danimals yogurt, 8 small bottles of wine and still had plenty of room. There is a trash shoot on every floor. They have a laundry facility in the building as well. Lemon water in the lobby. Access to the elevators is only with your room card. Oh and on Friday's on the top of the building, if you look toward the Hilton side you can enjoy the fireworks without the crowd. Overall, my children were the true guest of this stay. They loved it so much and request to go again. Oh and the little Japanese place down stairs, you definitely got to stop there and try there musubi's and japanese dishes. They are going through a renovation to better accommodate the guest and their experience.

Why resort fee is now part of total price of room
Very good location, walking distance to Waikiki room style 80-90 years but whatever, very good wifi. What I don't like very much and it seems to be standard in Hawaii is the resort fee, which is not shown in the final and total price for the room and has to be paid extra upon arrival. I would expect a fair setting of this price within the price of the room, especially if the room is paid for in advance.

Needs Updating
Our room was very worn and tired. The couch was stained and sunk. The kitchen looked straight out of the 80’s. Everything was very dated, with the exception of the bathroom which was updated and quite nice. Though at 5’5, my head nearly hit the shower head which did not adjust any higher. We also booked a queen bed, it was a full/double at best.. it was cozy. This was frustrating because the two other families we travelled with both had bigger beds! One looked to be a king and the other most definitely an actual queen. The pull out sofa was painful, my teen had bars in his back and it sloped so his feet were about 4-6” higher than his head when laying down. Additionally, we paid significantly more for the ocean side room. Disappointing to have a good chunk of the view blocked by the adjacent hotel. And the family we were with who didn’t pay for the upgraded view actually had a better ocean view from their canal side room! And finally, a positive note, the staff were incredibly friendly and responsive. There was no remedy for the beds or state of the room but when we needed anything, they were courteous and efficient!

Best value for a Waikiki for location, walkability to attractions, cost, view, room amenities and size. Currently undergoing limited small scale renovations but not a problem.
