Needs some work done!
We’re 2 inter. ‘Travel & Motoring’ Journos and we stayed at this facility before (on invitation from the local tourism dept.) The Grand is not so grand anymore. It’s showing its age and wherever you look it needs some work done. Lack of staff didn’t help. Trying to have dinner there was a nightmare, because of lack of staff. The few available did an amazing job, but lack of training was noticeable. This place is ideally located and has all the facilities, but doesn’t use them to its advantage. Management with winter know how would be the start of a return to better days. In our judgment the Grand is s 3 star place which could be a 4 star if the whole establishment was renovated to today’s standards.

Past few years staying here, the property was great. This recent trip was tough. The room was grand when walking in. But as we started to unpack I have to question it the room was actually cleaned properly or not. The fridge had left over food that wasn’t cleaned out. The room garbages weren’t clean and left overs were left in there. During the night I was curious why it was so cold, and apparently someone left the windows open and we only realized in morning when we opened the drapes that’s why sound was so clear from outside noise. The washroom handles were grimy and dirty. Overall the place needs a serious overhaul from elevators to new linen etc. The pillow linen was quite rough. Overall i would come back mainly for convenience, plenty of underground parking for $25 a day, super close proximity to the lifts. Room wise maybe I’ll find a better room next time. For their summit class rooms this was a disappointment.

Property is in a great location. Smack dab in the Center of the village with ski in/out access. Can’t get closer to everything to make your stay easy. Nice to jump in the hot tubs after skiing as well.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. The hotel is massive with amenities for all purposes, and very comfortable. Perfect location as it is in the heart of the village. The hotel though is showing its age and could use some remodeling.
