Plain but clean lodgings
it was a pretty good stay - considering being there during the pandemic. We feel strongly that Hilton should reqiure ALL GUESTS to wear masks when in the indoor public spaces of the hotel: lobby, elevators, hallways etc Appeared to be well cleaned; staff very nice

Horrible experience.
The hotel is ok but the service is horrible. Was woken up by someone trying to access the room only to find out its anothrr guest who was assigned the same room. When i called the front desk the agent was very rude. When i asked for a supervisor he called the police instead. The officers were good

Let’s start with the first day, I check in I get a room the bathroom floor had stains all around and the toilet was dirty. Front desk lady was real nice about it moved me to the 5th floor . The last night of my stay the whole hotel was without power from 9 pm till who knows! I didn’t fall asleep until around 3am so of course anytime after that . The whole hotel was dark so no way to see in the halls to leave and no way to call the front desk. We were stuck on the 5th floor all night until check out. when I asked the General Manager for a refund she said “oh yeah just reach out to who you booked with And let them know the issue and you will be fine, they will call me and we will get it handled”. I only asked for a refund for last night out of all four nights and they denied it! Up until then I have never had an issue with this location and have been staying there in and out for years but I will definitely never consider staying again.

Not a bad stay
I thought the bed was uncomfortable and could feel the springs. I hated the loud air conditioner that seemed to kick on way too often. The tv renote and the system in general was difficult to figure out. My kids enjoyed the stay, even with one getting sick for our entire stay. The look of the hotel was very nice and it was very clean. I don't believe there pool was open as there was a sign on the door saying please pardon our mess.

Would NEVER recommend.
Stayed 5 nights. Very nice staff of maybe 6 people for the entire booked hotel. When we checked in, they couldn't take our payment. They gave us room keys and said to come back. Had to come back twice before they took our cards and then they charged us $50 three separate times for "incidentals" without telling/asking us AND did not charge the correct amount for the room. They couldn't tell if we had paid for breakfast through or not so they comped us the TWELVE DOLLAR cold breakfast. They didn't clean our room the first day so we gave up and just asked for towels each day. They didn't have enough and we had to go down to the front desk because they didn't have anyone that could bring them up. No shuttle service on weekend when everyone at the hotel needed to go to the convention center. NO restaurants or shops or anything near by. Everything was at least a $15 Uber away. Very dirty floor outside elevator that wasn't cleaned for 2 days. Someone smoking weed outside (?) that vented straight into our bathroom. I'm sure there was no security person. I think I saw the same 6 people the whole time. VERY nice but not trained or equipped to do standard hotel work. The hotel is remodeled and nice but I would not recommend.

Nice size room but the stay wasn't worth the price
The Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City was under renovation. The staff was not pleasant and the restaurant was closed do to construction. It is located in a dark and hard to find location with no restaurants nearby.
