We got to the room with a balcony and the floor was disgusting! And I even took pictures to show the lady at the front desk. I have a little one that crawls and doesn’t walk so to me it was a big deal but I was appalled by how dirty the floor was! Then we went to eat and there was flies everywhere! I asked the waitress if there was something they could do and she shrugged it off like that’s what happens and no we just had to deal with them landing on our food pretty much! Didn’t go back there! If you want a peaceful sleep I would stay in the rooms, I would get a cabin! You can hear everything!

No main lodge, just connected motel like cabins.

The room was pleasant and clean. The lock on the door only worked with 1 of the 2 keys. We felt That the sidewalks and steps into the cabins were dangerous, especially coming in from an evening ranger talk. The pathway to the lodge was disrupted due to construction. There was no mention of that upon checking in. We found out after hiking most of the way there that the rest of the trail was overgrown. We had to navigate through the berry bushes and weeds and climb a rather steep mulch covered hill. We could have used a temporary handrail or at least a rope to help pull yourself up.

Positives: Quiet. Very Peaceful. Beautiful scenery and charming, in-house chipmunk visiting our balcony. Very friendly staff. Nice, comfortable rooms. Negatives: Dining facilities limited and food quality of just average quality. Fairly expensive.

    Location is great

The convenience of the location cannot be overstated. Being that it’s inside the park and all that has to offer. However, the rooms are a little plain but suitable. Maybe a one night stay is all you need. The wait was a little long on check in. The breakfast was fantastic and the view great! I love trees however a little trimming would be nice to see the view.

NEVER AGAIN!! We arrived at 10:00 at night and were told to carry our luggage through the woods for a 2 to 4 minute walk. 30 minutes later we found our cabin with no help from management. No flashlights, terrible hand drawn map!!! Running into other lost guests we we’re able to help each other out. Apparently no one on staff has never actually made the walk through the woods. No air conditioning??? Microwave…….Thought all of this was going to be worth the view when we woke up in the morning and it really wasn’t!. One and done!!!
