    Great experience.

This hotel is right in line with a high end boutique hotel yet retaining the charm for which it is known. The check-in was flawless and welcoming. The room was beautiful, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. There was a refrigerator, coffee maker, ample towels and Beekman 1802 toiletries. The view from our room was beautiful. On the grounds in the evening were two chimera fire pits for people to gather around and the porches with rocking chairs was a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the water and marina. There are bicycle rentals immediately in front of the property. After staying many places on the Island, we would like to stay here again and will make a point to do so.

    Fall- Mackinaw Island

Stayed on Mackinaw Island one night, Sunday only. Weather was 72 and Sunny, it was great for biking. We also enjoyed walking in the evening on the island it was a full moon and it was gorgeous. No traffic, ferries, and it was peaceful. Better time to come in the fall than in the heat of the summer.

    A great place to stay

Always a great stay. We love the location: across from the marina, wide open water views, and a five minute walk to town. Lots of old charm but updated rooms.

We really enjoyed the history of the Island, and also of the Island House hotel, which was the first hotel on the Island. It is elegant and our King room was large and had three windows facing Lake Huron. Absolutely gorgeous!
