Great location very nice hotel
Perfect location with great mountain views, restaurants and shops are on your doorstep. Very good value and rooms are comfortable only downsides for me was no bath which would of been welcomed after a long day hiking and no fridge as I like to pick up groceries from the shops.

Value for money
hen we are on city breaks we don't really spend any time in the hotel as we are always out and about. This hotel was more than fine. Didn't blow me away, but that is not what I am after. The rooms were too warm, but you could open the window and the bed were pretty comfortable. Noise levels between rooms also was ok

Large Family Stay - Amazing rooms and stay!
We were a damily of 10, 7 adults, 2 children and 1 baby. We booked four deluxe rooms and were not disappointed. They are incredibly spacious and allowed for all of us to sit in one room comfortably before going out. Breakfast was a really good selection of continental, waffles, cereals or toast. It was NYE and very busy but the staff were attentive and very helpful. I have already made a recommendation to another for this hotel and will definitely be going back. Thr location couldnt be better and we had sea views from our room!

Unlucky trip
Strange noise keep coming at night maybe from pipeline and really nice arrangement of giving two tiny single bed for me and my wife on our honeymoon trip. Housing development in the neighborhood, outages of hot water on my first night after a long day out in the freezing Icelandic weather

Good Location and that's about it
The location of this hotel is pretty good, and it has free parking, but that is really about all it has going for it. Once you are inside, it is pretty outdated. The room was not particularly clean, and smelled a little bit off. The bathroom was not very nice or clean, but the shower did have good water pressure. The water smells like sulfur, which I guess is common in Reykjavik, but it still made the room smell like farts. I would not stay in this hotel again when I travel to Iceland.

Gives Fosshotel Brand a bad name
Room size was decent but bathroom had a smell and the carpet was horribly stained and filthy. Lamps and furniture / fixtures had a thick layer of dust. There was a cabinet for a fridge but NO fridge in the room. Paper cups were provided in the room for coffee. We stayed in Fosshotel properties across the country and this one was the worst. Could spoil the brand name unless management sits up and takes notice.
