Very good 8.0
Fun overall !
The location was perfect, the staff where very friendly and helpful. As for the room at its rate it could really use some up keeping, the bed sheets where torn, curtains with stains, towels where not available until late at night on our check in and there after very difficult to get in a timely manner. The food was great, pool clean and fun. Tons of activities for adults and kids. AC worked perfect.

Disappointed
In the 6 years of traveling to different locations in Mexico, this was the most disappointing. We love to travel to Mexico because of the customer service and the local culture. The Mazatlan culture is beautiful!! The customer service at this particular resort was minimal at best. It was even difficult to get a good morning from the waiter, let alone more ice for the bucket of refreshments we were drinking.

Consider this place if all other options fail.
Booked two rooms last minute, will look to not visit this place again. Too many rules, no flexibility, felt like I was being chaperoned the whole time. Walked in with an ice chest full of beer, hotel did not want to allow. Wanted to take it into the pool area, was not allowed, was asked to stay on the outskirts of the hotel grounds if we wanted to have the ice chest out. Everyone got kicked out of the pool at 9pm, no lights were left on in the pool area. We wanted to stay outside, got told that we would be allowed as long as we didn't make any noise. It was ten of us in the group, no noise, really?? Got told to quiet down continuously by the guards even though the waves crashibg were making noise than we were. Next day in the pool, got told that we had to check out towels from the reception area and we're only limited to four per room. All towels had to be returned to the reception area prior to checkout othwise pay 200 pesos per towel. Similar restrictions with the key and TV remote, had to return all of these to reception or pay penalty. Beds were ok and even though suites had a kichennete, cabinets, refer were empty.
