A nIce but over-priced motel.-- hardly a resort
Pretty log cabins in an area with trees all around the lot. Nice staff. Clean and well maintained. Easy walk to a popular B-B-Q restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Cowboy Village's cabins are very small, even for cabins. For a stay longer than three or four nights, the discomfort of the cramped space would become quite annoying. The bed pillows are in need of replacement -- small dimensions and lumpy fillings. The bed was a little better, but below the quality we find at most high-priced motels, hotels and "resorts." I think the term "resort" applied to Cowboy Village is hard to justify. It is really a large, fairly nice motel. Overall, it was a nice stay, but not what I expected for the high price.

Exceptional 10.0
I loved how everything in the cabin I rented worked perfectly. There were absolutely no cracked or broken pieces of trim or stained carpeting. All the appliances were brand-new. The temperatures in Jackson Hole fluctuate very quickly when the sun comes up or goes down. The heating thermostat was very responsive on getting the cabin warm in the mornings. The cabin cooled off quickly at night when the thermostat was turned to a low temperature and a window was briefly opened. I slept so well both nights I stayed at The Cowboy Village Resort. This was the third time I’ve stayed there over the past 10 years. You can’t beat the price for what all you get when staying there. The staff are so friendly and the kitchenettes are stocked with new barbecue-grill utensils and plenty of silverware and plates if you’re wanting to have a cookout on the grass outside of your cabin. I watched some TV on a flatscreen that pivoted out from above the kitchen table on a wall-mount. What a great space-saving idea that was. I didn’t use the indoor swimming pool or ice machine centrally located on the property, but my friends did and they loved it. I will definitely be staying at The Cowboy Village Resort next year when I return for a bicycling event inside Grand Teton National Park in late April next year. I had a great stay and made some great memories there this year with over 12 other friends that were staying there as well. It’s fun staying in a private cabin in a historic cowboy town!

breakfast buffet like I see in the photos?
The photos posted on Hotels.com that show the breakfast area and food and drink will make you think Cowboy Village Resort in Jackson, WY includes free breakfast buffets. It does but only during the winter season, not during the summer season when we were there. Not sure who should have updated that information when I made the hotel reservation several months ago. All I know it was not made clear on the Hotels.com website. Had to find out about the limited service when we checked in and already prepaid for the hotel. When you have five people in your party daily breakfast buffets would have made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I think I would have move on to a different hotel if I had known about this limited time service. Cabin was small, but updated and had all the amenities you need. It even had picnic tables outside the cabin and an outdoor grill. Centrally located to downtown.

Nice Cabin
Enjoyed our stay in Double Queen Deluxe Log Cabin. 2 queen beds in bedroom (door closes, but open in the rafters to other room, sound does carry throughout the cabin) was tight, but comfortable with one night stand (clock), 6-drawer dresser, small open clothes-hanging rack/shelf & TV/remote . Pull-out queen sofa in the living/kitchen room needed to be closed each morning to use the room. All beds were very soft, so if you like a firmer bed these were too soft. 8 fluffy pillows provided. Kitchen area (along one wall of the living room/entry) has granite counter top, two burner stove top (no oven), small dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, small refrigerator, TV/remote. Limited assortment of dishes, flatware and 2 cooking pots plus 2-3 cooking utensils. Small kitchen table with 3 chairs. Exactly what we expected for 3 people to share - a clean, cozy cabin (no fireplace) in a complex of closely situated cabin units. Although the cabins are close to each other, you don't share a wall with anyone, so our cabin was quiet & comfortable. We traveled in winter, 0-23 degree F temps & snow, but heater kept cabin warm. Hooks on wall above heater perfect for hanging wet coats to dry. Parking directly outside each cabin. We did not have a car, but other guests did park in front of our cabin occasionally. Small bathroom with tub/shower, exhaust fan and small built-in heater. Plenty of towels & coffee/toiletries always replenished by housekeeping staff.

Cute log cabins in a great location.
The location was great and the log cabins were very cute. The downside, is the cabin I booked through hotels.com was a bit small for the five of us. The lower bunk bed had a low ceiling of sold wood above, so my 11 year old kept sitting up and banging her head. Finally my husband and I had to sleep there and we moved her to the top. Check in was quick and smooth. The unit was extremely neat and tidy. It was a bit pricey and did not include breakfast, but staying in Jackson is pricey in general. Everything else was great.
