The front facade of The Werken Haus is a classic ranch style with a charming front porch, thick green lawn, and mature shade trees. A long, paved driveway provides plenty of parking. Inside, a formal front sitting area has plush, tufted sofas and an enormous wood hutch. Nearby, another seating area features a gray sectional sofa and a flatscreen HDTV. This sprawling living space creates tons of seating space for large groups to kick back with a bottle of wine or a bowl of popcorn and a great movie.
The kitchen is wide open to the living space— ideal for socializing and conversation. Unique emerald green cabinets and gleaming white quartz countertops surround a full suite of stainless steel appliances— including a gas range with vent hood, french door refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. A huge island is topped with stunning gray -veined marble and illuminated by a modern chandelier. There’s bar seating for four and a dining table with casual seating for four more.
Through the wood -trimmed archway and down a short flight of stairs lies the formal dining area. Designed for large, traditional dinners— this space is equal parts luxurious and homey. And it’s the place where holiday memories are made. Two farmhouse tables have room for 20 people, and an HDTV sits above the crackling fireplace.
Down the hallway are the private and restful bedroom suites. The first suite features a king -size bed in a vintage -inspired metal frame, a small desk, an HDTV, and an ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The second bedroom has two queen -size beds, an HDTV, and an attached bath with a step -in shower. The third bedroom sits underneath the eaves and has a flexible mix of four twin -size beds, each with a twin -size trundle underneath.
In the fourth bedroom, there are two queen -size beds, a desk, an HDTV, and an ensuite bath with a glass -enclosed shower. The fifth bedroom is a private suite with a king -size bed, HDTV, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The sixth and final bedroom includes two queen -size beds facing an HDTV, and a full bathroom.
Outside, the backyard of The Werken Haus is like your own private Texas Hill Country resort. A screened -in patio has space for dining alfresco, relaxing with your warm mug of coffee in the morning, or sipping a cocktail at happy hour. A sparkling, cerulean blue swimming pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and luxe green grass. It’s a private, sun -kissed space to work on your tan, practice your backstroke, or grill some burgers for dinner on the outdoor gas range. There’s also a sunken firepit nearby that’s the perfect place to gather together in the evenings with a bottle of wine— and maybe some yummy s’mores— under the stars.
