Property was clean, and staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee was excellent, which was a nice surprise. We loved that breakfast was available for a long period of time, so we weren’t having to set an alarm to enjoy it. They offered the exact same pastries every morning for the 5 days we were there, so some variety would have been nice.

Overall it's a nice hotel. A couple things in the room weren't working: the water dribbled out of the bathroom sink, and the thermostat in the room had two settings: Boiling Hot, or Off. Adjusting the electronic display did nothing. Also beware of construction happening below--the first night it was QUITE noisy, kept me awake from 2:30-4 a.m. After that the construction crew was allowed to sleep through the night, and so was I. But the staff are all incredibly nice and the room itself is fine, if a little tight.

Decent hotel. Looks like they are currently renovating so rooms are a little dated, albeit clean. Some chipped paneling on some of the wood on the desk, but didn't bother me at all. Might bother some. Clearly they are in process of upgrading. Good location to catch a number of public transportation options especially if you want to take the N or W into Queens or Astoria.

Hotel 57 - anniversary
It was close to what we needed. The breakfast was a good touch- juice would be nice. Our neighbors were very very loud. Walls a tad thin. The cleaning staff and the one gentleman that runs around and does the errands and todos in the lobby was wonderful and positive… always. Cleaning staff too. Room was a decent size for NYC. Which is nice.
