    Staff was amazing, extremely helpful ! Rooms weren’t so clean the bed had 2 stain when we first arrived and asked for them to change it, and then we noticed another stain on the new one. The rooms weren’t with strong enough AC. It felt very humid and damp.

    For this resort to be so highly recommended so much stuff needed repairs. We were there during the hurricane and no one came to our room to check on us and the electricity was out when they had a generator but only used it for the restaurant and front desk. The service was lacking except an exceptional few.

    The view was absolutely breathtaking, but after 6 days of quarantine, couched as five, I needed more than a view. I wanted to experience the grounds. However, those who were not vaccinated were only allowed to leave their room on the sixth day of quarantine to have their test taken at the onsite clinic. (Don't be fooled by the 5 day quarantine. I arrived Sunday afternoon and was in lockdown until Friday around 8:30pm when my results returned.) If I was able to leave my room to have my COVID exam, why couldn't I frequent dinner spots? They could have provided a secluded area for folks to dine-in & enjoy their stay. Outside of cable, there was no entertainment provided for guests quarantining. Booking a suite with a plunge pool is not the answer to quarantine. It may soften the blow, slightly. BUT when amenities, like the jacuzzi's piercing shrills setting off the fire alarm, me falling through a broken lounge chair, or the patio lights flickering/totally inoperable doesn't help! After making a formal complaint to management, & being compensated $250 BBD towards my food tab, it wasn't enough to negate the humiliation of sporting a scarlet red wristband and being treated like an AIDS victim from the 1980's/90's. I said it. Those delivering food to the room left the food on a standing tray up against your room door and stood sometimes more than 7 FT away as if I truly had a disease. Does The Crane treat their staff differently for not being inoculated? Food was DIVINE, btw...

    It’s perhaps not best to travel here during the pandemic because staff is limited and the NEWLY implemented 5-day quarantine (after my booking) made it difficult to enjoy the facilities or much less the island. I only had 5 days and I was allowed to test on day 3 to be able to leave the country (many hiccups). The results came during the late morning on day 4 so I only had a chance to walk around the complex and grab dinner at the D’Onofrios (delicious garbanzo soup). Again I see many potential post pandemic and the staff was always courteous - aiming to please.

    we planned to stay at this hotel while we had to do the mandatory COVID quarantine, and although the test results have taken longer than usual, the Hotel and staff have been great at accomodating us while we wait for results.

    Almost paradise.

    We arrived at 3 pm...a bit early. If you arrive at 4:00 pack your patience because of the rush. We made dinner reservation at Zen (great service and food) was for 6 pm. We came back after 9:00 pm. It was a cooler night so we didn’t know until we went to sleep that the AC was not working. I woke up at 2 am and didn’t sleep. I called at 7:30 am and engineering isn’t open until 9:00. Front desk said they would call them and we went to breakfast as L’Azure (excellent view). Went back by 9:30 am and it was warm. Called engineering directly and someone came in. They turned it on. It worked for 5 min then turned off. They came back in the afternoon 2 more times and declared it irreparable during our stay. I was frustrated cause I waited my day waiting for AC. We like our room and wanted something similar. They gave us the Penthouse in block 5. Excellent view but we weren’t comfortable in the unit. Some flaws. They found us a unit we liked for our third night. We booked for 3 nights and stayed in 3 different units which was not relaxing. Jeff did all he can to take care of us. It’s because of him that it wasn’t a lost cause. However, it would have been nice to stay in the unit we loved for 3 nights in a row. The Crane is definitely beautiful. Unfortunately, it wasn’t relaxing for us because of the packing and moving 3 times in 3 days. Everything for a reason. Blessing in disguise. Jeff is an excellent representative. I look forward to a 5/5 experience next time.

    We loved The Crane resort! We have been to many, many beaches but the view at their beach may be the best ever. All the restaurants were excellent and the staff were very nice. The only two minor negatives were that sometimes the front desk is not real quick to answer, and it was a little difficult keeping the room properly cooled but we figured it out. The pandemic price was great. We’d love to go back, but I’m not sure it’s worth their regular prices
