Delano Needs to Step it UP!
I ALWAYS stay at Delano with my pup when visiting town. I know the entire building is pet friendly, but do you give your oldest or most run down rooms to the people with pets? It seems that my last two visits I had bathrooms who’s vanity shelves were all damaged and swollen worn from water absorption and the shower doors that leak water ALL OVER the bathroom floor. This time, my deadbolt didn’t work and I had to call down to report the faulty door lock, then had to sit and wait in my room for the utility man to come, and stay there while he repaired it. This was such a neuscense and a waste of my time that I could have been doing other things rather than sitting in my room making sure my belongings were safe. I also encountered doggy doo doo upon exiting out of the elevator onto my floor! This really upsets me, because it’s dog owners who are NOT responsible who ruin the reputation of dog owners like myself who ARE responsible. Once again I called down to report the unsanitary conditions for somebody to come clean it up. I love the Delano, BUT each additional time I stay here I begin to enjoy myself less and less... Very dissatisfied this last time around.

    Value-driven, classy and modern resort
I love Delano! I've stayed there twice in the last 3 months, and I highly recommend it to everyone! At Delano, the suites are modern, with a pleasing, comfortable décor, and a housekeeping staff who meticulously maintains cleanliness. All Delano staff is guest-comfort oriented, and each will go the extra mile to achieve a fantastic stay for each and every guest s/he encounters. For entertainment, Michael Jackson One is one of the most outstanding shows in Vegas, and I highly recommend it to all! The Cirque du Soleil staff always exceeds my expectations! I will remember the creativity, the passion for what they do, and their messages of hope that re-energize me each and every time I attend one of their performances in whichever show I attend. Michael Jackson One is, and will always be, one of the greatest Vegas shows! The House of Blues at Mandalay Bay is an experience to remember, and to return to often. The food is fabulous, and the staff makes sure I leave happy and full. The food and drink portions are an excellent value, as well. Every trip I make to Vegas will include a trip to the House of Blues!

I did not like that you are unable to use the refrigerator for personal items, there are no cups for making hot water if you bring your own tea or coffee. I picked up a cup to see if it was to allow for hot water from the kurig and it was sealed and full of items. I did not use either cup, went to front desk to check out and i was credited on by bill at that time and now I have received an email copy of my bill with 14 dollars charged twice for two cups that i did not use. At the entrance of the parking garage for Delano the smell is not pleasant and extends through the walkway to the Mandalay Bay The lounge on the top floor is very nice but the restaurant food is pricey and we did not enjoy what we had ordered.

Staff was not welcoming or kind
We were in Vegas for 3 days, 2 night stay at Delano. We live in Los Angeles, so, it became a tradition to drive around Christmas to Las Vegas, for Christmas lights (I have an 11 yo daughter and an elderly mother with me). While the hotel facilities, taste, cleanliness, comfort are excellent (I would never go to another hotel!), the staff is below standard. Starting with the reception area staff (check in), with the man that answered my call on 12/24/2016 when I called from the room (18-907) and asked why, after the room showing as empty and ready to be cleaned till 1500, nobody came (he was very abrasive, not helpful, quick...) to the cleaner who came anyway that day and partially cleaned our room, with us in it (??)..Anyway, the most heartwarming experience was, when we were lost from Delano to Mandalay Bay Hotel, and the bell hop Jesses Arentz, coming off his night shift, took his time to walk us through some back check in desk for our Grand Canyon helicopter tour at Mandalay Bay. Both hotels were empty, it was about 0550 am and he just comforted us, physically walked us there, inquired around and on the phone if that was the right place for us to be picked up by limo...Just a warm, random act of kindness that made our helicopter tour possible (we wouldn't have found the check in desk to leave on time, for sure!!). Jesse was genuinely caring, took time for us, as if we were the only ones there...for us, he was our savior of the day, because we would have totally missed it!

Nice place but cheap TP is a personal pet peeve.
The hotel is very nice and also quite in comparison to your typical LV Hotel. We liked that because you could actually walk to the Mandalay Bay if you want the traditional LV scene and action. Overall a good place but here are my issues: 1) This is not an inexpensive hotel. Why do expensive (and nice) hotels cut corners by using cheap (meaing thin and rough) toilet paper? I know it is not a big deal in the scheme of things but, to me, it is a lack of attention to detail. Especially when they charge you $14 dollars for a can of beer from the mini bar. 2) They have a coffee maker in the room but no coffee. We called down for coffee twice and after 2 hours gave up and went and bought some. Eventually they brought some to the room and we used it the following day. However, upon checkout, I saw that they charged us (like $14) for two cups of Keurig coffee! Now I have stayed at A LOT of hotels and EVERY time I have had coffee in the room from a portable maker, it has ALWAYS been complimentary. Again, this is an expensive hotel. I will say all of the staff we encountered were very nice, helpful and friendly. So, putting aside the TP issue, the poor repsonse to the coffee request and the fact that they charged a lot for the Keurig coffee, it is a very nice hotel.
