Too bad we left on a sour note
I wanted very much to give the Juniper a 5 star perfect review. We stayed 5 nights, had several wonderful meals in the bistro, enjoyed the fantastic views from our room, soaked up the ambiance and felt comfortable throughout the stay. The staff and service overall was gracious and friendly, with one glaring exception. This was our second stay at the Juniper so I knew what I expected and considered it a home away from home. As we were booking out after our 5 night stay, we lingered too long in the bistro over breakfast and went slightly over the check out time. “Jake”, the worker at the front desk told me he “should charge me” for a late checkout even though I explained we were in the Bistro. I told him it was unfortunate that after a pleasant 5 night stay, the feeling we would leave with was the unpleasantness of being threatened with another charge, but he was adamant, choosing to debate with me the appropriateness of his attitude. He could have said “Thank you, I’m glad you had a pleasant stay” and we would have left perfectly satisfied, but he persisted in debating it with me. Sad note to leave such a nice hotel , and the lingering impression is now unpleasant. “Jake”... you ought to find a new profession, you eroded the pleasantness and gracious service of the rest of the Juniper Staff.

Exceptional 10.0
Excellent stay, all was great. HVAC a bit loud on activation and while running.

Too noisy
So noisy. Footsteps and voices. Perhaps it was our room’s location.

Terrific mini mountain get-away!
Very pleasant small boutique hotel with lovely local curated art. This historic 2 storey hotel is walk-up and beds are doubles not queens. Bedding is lovely and atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. Views across the mountain valley are spectacular. Nice basic outdoor hot-tub. Excellent restaurant for foodies who appreciate local seasonal quality cuisine.

Exceptional 10.0
Great place, friendly staff.
Very good friendly check in. The guy even offered to get someone to assist us with our bags and cases up the stairs. This was a minor inconvenience, we'd been on the road all week and the cases were heavy. Room was clean and comfortable but did show some signs of wear. The door jam had been broken and hastily repaired. My coat hooked up on it passing through the door. Bistro food was excellent and despite the slow service due to being short staffed was still a good experience. We had to wait 20 minutes at our table before our drinks were served but the service otherwise was very good. Yes I would stay here again.
