Not Happy!
Went to a concert, ate and drank at bar off the lobby. Got to room about 2:00 am. At 10:00 am, was awakened by someone knocking on the door...they did not identify themselves. Opened door to housekeeping staff that wanted to know when we were checking out. I told them checkout was Noon...so we’d be out at Noon! An hour later, 11:00 am....again...knocking on the door. Did not identify themselves...I jerked the door open to someone with a clipboard. Again housekeeping....really?? I paid good money for this room and had every right to be there until noon without interruption according to the hotels own policy. What the heck??!?!?!?

I don't feel like the hotel was run well at all. We were told we could have early check in at 1p (requested several days prior). Stopped by at 11a to get parking set up for my car, and confirmed 1p would work for check-in. Went back to my car to get it parked and was blocked in for 15 minutes by a delivery truck by the front door. Then, I went to the garage and waited for another 15 mins because no one at the front desk would answer the garage intercom system to buzz me in (like they had just told me was what to do). In fact, they never answered and the guy behind me just let me in by swiping his room key. Went back at 1p to check in and they told me it would be 2p (normal check in is at 3p). Left and came back at 2:15p and when I tried to go in the front door of the hotel, my wife and I were yelled at by a couple of extremely rude people because they were filming a video at the front door. So we had to walk all the way around to the back of the hotel to get in. Room still wasn't ready. The front desk called for a house keeping check on our room and the call went answered several times over 20 minutes. How do they not even answer repeated calls? We were finally checked in around 3:15p and able to get in our room. We ended up wasting two hours that we had planned on being in our room and getting ready for the night. This caused us to be later than planned for everything we did the rest of the day. Overall, room was nice, experience was unacceptable, especially for the price.

Exceptional
Gorgeous hotel, spacious, great staff & breakfast
Absolutely gorgeous hotel! Very friendly staff, Souter convenient location next to Power & Light District, Sprint Center, and the River Market. There was a wedding that was loud outside our first floor suite but it didn’t last long and was over at a very reasonable time. Our junior suite was a spacious corner room, only missing a fridge but they brought us one on request. Pillow top mattress was not very soft, both our backs hurt. But the AC worked really well! Breakfast buffet was seriously great. Valet was a very reasonable $26 and they were speedy and accommodating. Highly recommended if firm beds don’t bother you!

Very good
The say was good for the most part, but I reserved the hotel months in advance for 3 people and was put in a room with 1 king bed. No other rooms were available so I had to sleep on a rollaway. But overall the hotel was very nice and clean and great location.

Great location for seeing the sights
We stayed at the President for a weekend in December, during the coldest weather of the year. The hotel was well heated and comfortable. It is conveniently located to many bars, restaurants and night clubs. The trolley cars go right past the hotel. The staff was all professional, pleasant and helpful. The rooms were quite small, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were roomy. The only beef I had during our stay was the mezzanine level. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas, but it was so hot there we couldn't enjoy it. While the temperature was 4° outside, the mezzanine was so hot we had to strip down to t-shirts and shorts, and we were still uncomfortably hot.
