The hotel called us just before check-in to let us know that they had taken a double payment for our stay. Whilst this was refunded some 5 days later, it was explained as an easy mistake by the staff not actually checking properly that we had already paid in full. My issue is that this is not the first time this has happened to us by Xanadu!
It is simply not good enough and a very poor way to start a holiday.
Then we had issues with TV, full availability of channels, and unable to access internet (paid for as part of our package) through the TV set up.
On top of this the main bed was not comfortable and we actually left accommodation early.
When I called to let the hotel know that we had dropped in keys and exited days earlier, they didn't really seem to show much interest.
I got to say our stay was disappointing, especially given this has been my preferred choice of where to stay for many years now.
Maybe some people need to re-evaluate their jobs, roles and commitment to the paying customer......!
