Calm and accessible accommodation
Room was great. Food was amazing. Lack of information of restaurant opening times (lunch/dinner) and no availability for a massage made it go from excellent to just good.

Disappointing customer service & unnecessary fees
This hotel was very nice in general, but had several issues that negatively affected our experience. We showed up on Christmas Day 1 hour prior to the 3pm check in. The hotel was very empty due to the holiday, but the front desk insisted on charging us a fee of about $25 USD to check in 1 hour early. I would understand a fee for an early check in of several hours, but it seemed quite ridiculous to demand a fee for just one hour, especially on a holiday and when the hotel was so empty. Second, we wanted to experience the pools at the spa, and showed up 1 hour before closing. But then the spa attendant informed us that the pools were fully booked, and that we would be unable to use them. I’ve never heard of requiring a reservation for a pool at a hotel that I’m paying to stay at, and we found this policy to be quite ridiculous. Additionally, the AC in our room did not work at all. The hotel, despite its lack of customer service at the front desk and spa, has really nice decor in the rooms and has an excellent breakfast with kind staff in that department. However based on the other disappointing experiences, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Not very good and overpriced
This is a new hotel which we chose due to the spa area. At check in at 8pm we asked if we could extend our checkout the next day by 2 hours, and we were charged 200 DKK for this. This is the first time I have been charged at a 4 star hotel for extending our checkout by such a short amount of time. While we accepted this, it does show a hotel that really nickels and dimes customers. The room was extremely small. Even so for Copenhagen and odd to stay right across from the Marriott which has standard rooms twice the size at only a slightly higher price point. The pillows were very low quality and not of the standard you would expect in a 4 star hotel, but more akin to the Cabinn or WakeUp hotels in Copenhagen. Bed and bedding was otherwise fine. Mini-bar was empty. Spa staff were friendly though another example of the nickel and diming at this hotel was the extortionate price it costs to access the pool and saunas. From what I remember this was 300 DKK. The fitness facility was decent, but it closed already at 10 pm. One of the only positives was the breakfast which was pretty good, but then again they tend to be at 4 star + hotels in Denmark (even if range of choice is limited, quality is usually decent). Lastly, soundproofing could be better for a new hotel as we heard kids running around outside in the hallway. Would not recommend this hotel as there are similarly priced hotels in Copenhagen that provide better quality stays.

Newer hotel that is all
The hotel is very new, the floor we stayed at was still under construction which made it hard to find our room. The bathroom had strong sewage odor, we requested to change room, but the same type of room was not available. We end up placing a wet towel over the drain to block the odor. it's nice the hotel offers free breakfast. Location is a bit far from the main tourist area. I won't come back again.

8/10 Very good

Good hotel, new, well located
This is a great modern hotel, we stayed here twice in the past month. Many of the negative reviews about the elevator access, air conditioning, lighting control, blinds etc are unfounded (unless they were actually broken) but we did not experience this on both our stays. The blinds do open automatically, but this is by design. The elevator access has simple instructions but I saw people ignore them on countless occasions. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast was good, typical 4 star hotel fare, and the dinner I had was more than acceptable. All the service I experienced was good and staff friendly. I think some people may mistake typical Danish professionalism as being unfriendly, but that’s a cultural thing. I would have given a five star rating except for having to pay to use the pool and to store luggage, I expect this to be part of the deal. The hotel is VERY well located (good for walks along the river and to all the typical tourist attractions) and is quiet, no road noise at all from a street facing room and I am very sensitive to that. The gym is free and very nice, great equipment. Hotel has bicycles you can rent for the day at just over US$20 for the day, which is reasonable, and a must to see all the sites in a short period of time; we used them for two days.
