It is overall great, except the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable. It could just be the bed in the room I stayed in though. Otherwise I was happy with the stay and the staff.

Parking
The concept was good however, the parking was not. The underground parking was only until 8 am - that's too early to have to move your car and there was no option to extend that time.

Superb Value!
Bring your own fitted sheet for the bottom of a 39 inch wide X 75 inch long mattress. The flat sheets underneath you don't stay where they're supposed to when you're sleeping. You can buy cheap polyester ones at Bed Bath and More at $20/set. Worth every penny. I love this place. It makes travel to Toronto possible for me to afford, and the breakfast is unbelievably lavish for what is essentially a summer hostel.

Not very accommodating
Called many times to see if I could check in early. Did not successfully speak to anyone. Upon arrival, they did not accommodate an early check in. Not even 30 mins before 3pm... Super inconvenient!

A great place to stay
A great place to stay - very reasonable room rate and more than adequate rooms and facilities. Being right on the Spadina streetcar line was an unexpected bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

Great for a single traveller on a budget.
Great area, easy access walking to everything (walking downtown takes 25 minutes). Showers are like any gym (a little dated) where you lock the door behind you. Toilets are also completely ok. Not a lot of traffic, so perfect in a low season, it feels like private bathrooms in that sense. Beds are not so good if you move a lot, very squeaky as they are made of cheap wood frames, very basic mattress, most likely old, but I slept well anyway.

Located in a convenient and quiet area.
It is a dormitory with shared washroom facilities. No frills. It is a decent place if you're just looking for a place to sleep.

You get what you pay for & that's not a bad thing
It's an active university residence circa the 1970s, not a hotel. I didn't come in expecting a hotel and so I wasn't disappointed. It's an amazing deal for a room in downtown TO and the front desk staff did a good job. The rooms were reasonably clean and the bathrooms were very clean, which I appreciate. But, again, since this is not a hotel, you only get one towel. Wifi is free and fast. People talking in hallways and slamming doors can be a bit noisy. I wouldn't recommend it if you are travelling with kids, plan on spending a lot of time in your room, or want/need daily housecleaning visits. If you're travelling solo and/or are willing to rough it but want a bit more privacy than a hostel this is a great option.

Excellent option
Be it alone or in a group...it's a fantastic option to stay... very nice location... rooms are clean and calm...u can have a good night sleep...n lots of options to explore in the area... almost every thing is approachable due to very close street car station( 2 min far from the front door of building and tokens are available at the reception)... everything is fine with the stay...u have to use a shared washroom but that's also ok as it's clean and not many people are around... I enjoyed my stay and surely come back again
