Subject: Complaint about Wi-Fi Issues During Stay - Request for Refund (Expedia itinerary: 72435917499018)
Dears,
I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at Sandos Playacar – Select Adult Only. During my stay from February 25th to March 4th (2023), I encountered several issues related to the internet Wi-Fi service, specifically at my room (#1235). Unfortunately, this has affected my work significantly as I had to work from my hotel room.
Firstly, I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi of my room from multiple devices (cell phones, tablets and laptops) during my entire stay (see attached). Despite trying to troubleshoot the problem with the Sandos’ employees, the Wi-Fi did not work at all. As a result, I faced several challenges with my job, including missing deadlines and unable to attend virtual meetings.
Secondly, I talked to several employees from the Guest Service and Main Lobby, and they mentioned that the hotel does not provide internet Wi-Fi in the room. This was particularly frustrating as Expedia clearly states that Wi-Fi is offered in all rooms as part of the hotel amenities (see attached).
Furthermore, due to the lack of internet in my room, I had no choice but to work in public spaces where the Wi-Fi was available. However, these areas were often loud and filled with noise from TV, loud music and drunken guests. It was challenging to attend calls and work efficiently in such an environment.
