Mixed and disappointing
Cool and confusing welcome at reception despite email exchanges prior to arrival. Filthy rooms , see before and after towel radiator cleaning photos attached. Can you spot the difference? Food good to average. Location excellent. Shabby interiors, grimy sofas in lounge, urine smelling upstairs corridors. Even after raising this with management the dust levels were still very visible. Had w booking for two rooms and they only dusted one of them. The other 99% of the rooms- one can only hazard a guess.

Perfect for walkers
Very dated hotel, we stayed in the Coach House, although there was a radiator in the room it wasn’t on so the room was very cold. We were there for a wedding, the majority of the staff were very polite but we had just bought drinks and put them on the table when we were called for photos when we returned there was somebody else at the table and no drinks. The bar manager was informed and all he could say was well it wasn’t me! We had to get the lady in charge of the wedding involved before it was sorted and replacement drinks provided.

Hash Browns
OK Hotel, but, the "hash browns" at our first breakfast were terrible, small mashed potato pieces bread crumbed over, absolutely terrible. Our second breakfast? We didn't have them!

Enjoyable stay, staff helpful
Bed very comfortable, bathroom was modern, nice shower. Glad to have tea making facilities, iron and ironing board in room. Not much view from the window. Lovely view at breakfast, food pretty good. would have liked porridge without milk and lemon and ginger tea (or other non green /fruit tea option).

Lovely Hotel
Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Staff where friendly and the hotel was very clean and well presented. We ate in the bar on our first night and the food was great. Only thing that could be improved was that the bed wasn't very comfortable which was a shame. Overall though we had a great stay and would definitely rebook in future!

accommodation medeocre (coach house). Breakfast arrangements rather chaotic. Food disappointing and when mentioned to waitress, no apology forthcoming.

We have rated this on the second room we were given. The first room was in the coach house - it was not cleaned properly, very dated and drab. The stairs and corridor up to the rooms smelt unpleasant on the way to the room. When we complained we were given the opportunity to upgrade to a much nicer clean room in the main building.for an additional charge. It was much more comfortable and bright. We ate in the bar both evenings and the food was great and the service good too. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.

Great location for visiting Snowdonia. I bet this place was once very impressive but looks quite tired now (a bit like me). Bar was OK with reasonable food. Restaurant was reasonably priced and food OK (not amazing, not bad). Breakfast was quite good. Rooms OK but just feel like they need a lick of paint. Bathroom was small but good enough for 3 night stay. Shower leaked water on the floor no matter how hard you tried to avoid it. We were on the second floor and the corridor goes round in a big square. All I kept thinking each time i went along it was of 2 little girls on tricycles saying 'REDRUM, REDRUM'. I was waiting in the room for an axe to come through the door and a face peer through saying ''Here's Jonny' with you alarm call'.LOL. I would stay there again and very much enjoyed the area. It was reasonably priced and the staff were nice.
