Good for overnight stop
We stopped for just one night in order to do the glacier and skywalk 'adventure' early in the morning. The hotel was better than we'd expected. Our mountain view room was huge, clean and comfortable, and while overlooking service areas, as well as mountains, it was very quiet through the night. It's a good point to stop the night between Jasper and Banff, but you might want to take your own food - it's very expensive there for what it is. On arrival the signage to check in is poor. Arriving from the north there's no sign at the first car park you get to that let's you know that there's a second one 200 metres further on for guests. From this car park, walk over the footbridge and hotel reception is on the same level and there's then an elevator to the rooms. From the other (public) car park you have to walk up a lot of steps, especially if you miss the not very prominent sign for the hotel reception and go straight to the top, like we did!

Uncomfortably warm room
Lackluster service during check-in procedure, I even ended up with a chart of the hotel's room rating from most-to-least desirable rooms including reason for not being a good room such as food smell from restaurant below etc. The room we got ended up being super hot at night and there was no a/c in room, just a fan - needless to say the one night was a bit uncomfortable due to room temperature

This is a place to lay your head. And not all that comfortably. I read the reviews and hotel notes which stated renovations are in progress. This hotel is clean, but still badly outdated and you can’t help but feel like you are in the middle of a total Brewster Tours gimmick/monopoly. You pay what you pay for the view outside. Thanks to the other reviews, we arrived late, hiked early, and got out of dodge before the tourist invasion began.

ADD THIS TO YOUR BUCKET LIST!
If you can get a good deal on a glacier view room, I would highly recommend booking. The room is comfortable, not many extras but the view is spectacular! The food onsite is expensive. Since there is no fridge in the room you could always bring a cooler with food/snacks as we did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
