May be our last visit
Great location but too much $$$$ for this property. Spa was very good with trained professionals. Saunas, hot tub nice to have in hotel. Rooms are small with nothing special for soaps, creams. Bar food was marginal at best. Drinks were well made. Breakfast staff was just ok but again, nothing special.

Very good 8.0
I was expecting the hotel to be as impressive as the rest of the Mandarin Orienta hotels that we have stayed in before and it wasn’t at all. Our room wasn’t serviced a couple of days. It really wasn’t the service that we expected from this wonderful chain of hotels. We still had a wonderful time and the concierge was very helpful.

Great rooms, service, and location
The rooms were luxurious and the staff were spectacular. The location is a short walk to Newbury Street, The Pru, and other Back Bay attractions. The hotel is definitely on the pricey side, but well worth it for a special occasion.

Top notch hotel - relaxing and elegant
We celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary with a quick get away to this beautiful gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly. Bags were whisked away to our room and we headed straight to the spa - which is a destination in itself! We had a huge private spa suite with a jacuzzi and a sauna all to ourselves! Fresh fruit and a relaxation room peeled the stress away even before our expert therapists arrived for our amazing couples massage. Wow! So incredibly relaxing! On a cold and snowy day, guests will really appreciate the indoor bridge over to the Prudential shopping center, which we used to grab a delicious lunch and to shop. Returning to our room with a beautiful view and comfortable furniture, we were so touched to find that the team had sent us a bottle of wine to congratulate us on our anniversary. The evening was perfection at Chef Daniel BOULUD's newest restaurant at the hotel. We happened to be there for restaurant week and had a delightful menu, accompanied by an outstanding wine selection. If you enjoy wine as much as I do, make time to speak with the incredibly knowledgeable sommelier. He was an excellent guide through the very impressive wine list at the restaurant. Tired and happy, we retired to our room and slept soundly on the soft and comfortable pillows. Room service breakfast the next morning was professional, quick, and tasty - with thoughtful touches like a beautiful challah lily in a vase. Wonderful experience!
