Issues
The toilet in the room stopped flushing and the drain in the tub was not draining. My husband had to fix the toilet in the middle of the night and we needed to go to the front desk for a knife so we could open up the drain.

Only stay if there are not other rooms available
We are very familiar with the Rutland area as we visit frequently and for the last 5 years have been skiers of Pico Mountain. We are even feature in a My Pico commercial. In any event, while searching for a hotel, we decided to pick a name brand, knowing that we should be able to get a nice room, that is not too dated and would be clean. Sadly, this was not the case. We arrived to a room, the was very musty, had stains on all the furniture, there was dog hair in the room, the bed mattresses uncomfortable and the cot really just worn. Now, we understand that the area is economically depressed, though there is no real reason for a major brand hotel to be in such disrepair. This isn't to say that the staff are not trying their best. The owners and the chain should really make the investments to improve the hotel conditions as we will not be staying there again as long as the hotel remains in these conditions. Sadly, we can't suggest anyone to stay at this hotel.

Continuous problems
Housekeeping did not clean room two days in a row I needed to use WiFi to connect with my business in the evening. It never worked. I have 4 different devices, it did not work on any of them. Front desk could not resolve problem. Everyday when I came back to hotel my keycards did not work. Had to go to desk to get new ones. And I mean everyday of my 4 day stay. Hostess and worker in restaurant were rude and unprofessional. The worker actually yelled at me when I entered about having a voucher. I was not seated. Hostess did the same thing. I left and complained at front desk. While I was at desk another patron came from restaurant to complain about the same bad treatment from the worker.

I love the Holiday Inn.
I'm a big fan of the Holiday Inn. The people at the front desk are friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and always clean with a comfy bed.
