The property is in a perfect location. It is easy to walk to most of things and that is something we like to do. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast that was included, was more than enough to get you going on your way. The elevators work great and there never seems to be much of a wait. My biggest issue is that, It is an old hotel and the rooms really need up dating. They are at the point where they should be gutted and redone. There is dirt in the corners that is not coming clean, not matter how hard you scrub. Peeling wallpaper and the doors need to be wiped down etc. The toilet tank was dirty and there was hair on in our tub when we checked in.I did find the beds to be comfortable and the amenities to be fine enough. It would have been nice to have a luggage stand to put your suitcase on as we had to use the table and chair, as I did not want them on the floor. The room is not big, but adequate in size. My biggest issue was around cleanliness and I doubt I will stay there again because of that.

Hotel needs a lot of work but good location
- Starting of with the check in.. the front desk agent didn’t even say welcome or asked for our name she just looked at us like “what?” She did mention that I requested a high floor room with a view but unfortunately they didn’t have it’ll and to please call tomorrow morning to switch rooms.. awesome I get it.. - Next day I call in the morning and the front agent that answered me kept asking me why I was going to change rooms and kept yelling at me... so I ended up staying in the same room because I didn’t want to deal with her attitude. - The room was ok, basically all that we needed because we just went there to sleep.. most of the day we were around NYC... I do have to say though that the hskp needs to work on their cleaning. The tub in the bathroom was full of mold, and also spider webs YUCK! - Breakfast was ok. They need to change it up everyday. Every single day is the same things: bagels, hard boiled eggs, coffee, toast, donuts.. I mean seriously??! No bacon, sausages? Even more fruit other than bananas and apples? - Every single morning before 9am you will hear hskp vacuuming the hallways and making a lot of noise. You can’t sleep in because they are basically waking you up early every day. - Last but not least, the bathroom at the lobby was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. It was dirty everywhere and it’s not even exaggerating. HORRIBLE. And you needed a key to get in.. so weird. Hotel needs a lot of work, but location is great. Close to everythin

A great find!
I booked this place for my daughter and I to celebrate her 16th birthday. We had two queen beds, a table and chair, another chair in the corner, and a dresser with a TV. The room is fairly small but perfectly fine for just her and I. The window overlooked an alley so not much light came in, but we were out most of the time anyway. I really enjoyed the character of the hotel--tiny elevators, winding staircase to the 2nd floor, and narrow hallways. The room was clean and I felt very safe. I would definitely stay here again! The only red mark is the staff was not very friendly. They were not rude, but never smiled or said anything extra--"I hope you have a nice stay" or "Is there anything else I can help you with?" Very robotic and blah. In regards to parking, there is a garage across the street that offers a discount of $40 for 24 hours when you stay at The Hotel and the attendants there were awesome! I would stay here again due to location, cleanliness, and parking was a breeze!

Ugly concierge
Upon check in, the experience was okay. A customer was in front of me, and his English not very good, and the front desk was not very friendly and I can tell he is making fun of the customer. The room need to be update, the carpet need to be change, actually the entire hotel need to be update. Bed is comfy, I had a good night sleep, the next day I checked out, I spoke to the hotel front desk where can I store my luggage, and she told me is around the corner by the concierge desk. I waited near the concierge desk, and notice there is another corner, I wanted to make sure I am standing at the right corner, I asked the concierge desk agent work on (May 19th, 2018 morning), my question starting out: Hi, I was just making sure about the storage (He cut me off, and saying storage need to speak to the front desk) But I wasn't finish my question, I was going to ask, if this the right spot waiting for the bellman for the storage. Later I spoke to the bellman, he said the concierge desk don't work for the hotel, they changes people everyday. Note to the hotel, FIRE this concierge company, these people have no customer service skills!! Just because of that reason, I will not be back, just because I don't want to see them ugly people

The hotel was very basic. It was clean, and the "free" continental breakfast was nice. The staff was fine, but nothing above as nd beyond. The bigger issue was the incredibly rude/pushy guests...it may be a cultural thing, but...wow! Regarding the room...it was fine, but the shower curtain rod was broken, and I had to keep pushing it up. I was put in a room directly across fron the elevstor and that was not ideal. The door to the room slso had a quite visible gap around it, and I could see into the hallway. The lobby was clean, but I found if odd that on two separate occassions there was a non-guest meeting with a guest in the lobby buying/selling pearls from each other. The location is good, if you w as nt to be closer to Time Square. I don't care for times Square, so location not idesl for me. I prefer Hell's Kitchen/Chelsea, which are within walkable distance for most people. I would not stay at this hotel again, unless they offered a significant incentive to do so.
