Charming Hotel, with major drawbacks.
Non working AC in 104 degree heat in addition to not being able to open the windows as the room faced a full on and very dusty construction site. Imagine trying to fall asleep?!

My biggest criticism was that smoking was allowed either in tiny yard or just outside of the building. The last night that I was there, my room was filled with smoke from the yard and I had to keep the window closed while it was kind of hot. When I shared my comment about smoking with staff when I was checking out, they didn’t seem to sympathize with me and no apology at all. Also the room was very small compared to the pictures on Web site. Actually the photographer had done an amazing job in picturing this property in general.

Unfortunately for us there was quite a bit of construction going on upon our arrival. Also the air conditioning wasn’t working which made the room uncomfortable in the extreme temperatures.

Lovely stay
Very close to the centre of Cologne, easy to find from the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was great, not a great view but very clean and cosy. Rooms cleaned every day. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel and it's not far to a few good cafes.
