Fair 4.0
Terrible building but nice staff
My hotel room (104) was a collection of building design flaws: 1. Room was 5m back from a major road and had very little sound proofing. 2. The walls were thin and hallway noises seemed to be amplified in the room. 3. It was fitted with a wheelchair accessible washroom so the toilet was basically in the shower 4. An external flood light was pointed almost directly at the window. 5. Paint was peeling in the washroom. 6. There was a door to join the adjacent room but was blocked by a desk showing that the design was an afterthought. 7. The ‘king’ bed was 2 singles pushed together. I asked to be moved but the staff (who were very nice) told me that the other rooms available were “bad” and I’d be better off where I was. Can’t imagine what they were like.

Very good 8.0
Great room but dining experience let of down badly
I got a suite and room was in very nice condition and spacious . Ordered room servivice where food quality of a simple toasted sandwich not great with tomatoes nearly off in the salad ! Dining they were very busy so I booked but when I got there I was asked to eat in the bar. Restaurant staffed by very young girls (16 years generally) pleasant enough but extremely poor for a hotel pitching at 5 star quality . Food very standard. Hotel should be renamed motel Marlborough and not chateau Marlborough. For a top quality hotel it needs to be the whole package not just a great room

Good 6.0
New but small room
I accept responsibility for having booked the room; it did not meet expectations. Billed as a Chateau Studio but small King bed (large queen IMHO), very small bathroom, no kitchenette and little overall room to swing that poor cat. The clothes hanging is also limited, there is but one area for 1 suitcase but room is for 2 people. There are no drawers and very little surface space so there is constant juggling plus everything is very low. I reckon this room is for 1 person travelling very light. Buyer beware!

Exceptional 10.0
Great location, fantastic room, friendly staff
We were extremely surprised to open the hotel door and find an amazing room. Being a suite, it had a separate dining, lounge, kitchen area to the bedroom. The bathroom was amazing, the double spa bath was great. With a full kitchen and a six seater table, we had a few dinners that were amazing. The staff were all very attentive and lovely. We go to Blenheim often have decided that we will stay no where else but at the Chateau. Thanks to the Chateau staff for making our stay enjoyable.

Exceptional 10.0
Extremely Good Quality and Great Value
This Hotel is equal to any International 5 star Hotel. Check in was amazingly quick, staff were most helpful, happy, responsive and keen to see to your every need. The meals were top class and would not be out of place in any top class restaurant. Our room was spacious, like brand new, the bed and pillows were most comfortable. I would rate this hotel 5 Star Plus. We were extremely happy with our stay and would be happy to return when next we visit Blenheim
