Weary from a very long day of international travel, my son and I were so thrilled to step out of the Friedrichshafen airport and see that the Hotel Ibis was only a quick walk across the parking lot away. The evening desk clerk checked us in quickly, and then he was also our server when we came down to the restaurant for a meal before bed. He was incredibly kind to us, especially in our jet lagged state. The room was on the small side, but sleep was all we needed, so no problem there. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with many choices. We highly recommend this hotel. The price was reasonable, it felt clean and safe, and my favorite feature: its proximity to the airport.

Huge disappointment!!
We did not enjoy our stay at IBIS at all! First of all when we arrived, the bed wasnt really made up and there was only one pillow. There was hair in the shower cubicle. After going to the reception, the receptionist told us he will bring the second pillow himself. When we asked about the bed and the room he was rude and told us it is what it is because they are only 3 star budget hotel and he never had a complain before for 3 years he is there, i really doubt that! We paid over £80 per night and it is also miles away from the city aswell. We just stayed in IBIS in Londow Heathrow the night before, it was a 3 star aswell but they made us feel like at least 4 star (the staff was great, comparing to this one) and we only paid £52. On their room description it also said there is a safe in the room and ironing board, we been told the safe is on reception and ironing board on first floor. Also aircondition didnt really work aswell, which we didnt want complain about aswell just to be told its a 3 star budget hotel. I ve been to other IBIS before around Europe, but this was my worst ever experience with IBIS! Please change the room description to avoid customer disappointment!! I would not recommend this place to anybody! Just to clarify we been staying in many hostels and budget accommodation before but since we paid so much money for this room we expected much more!!

Another generic Ibis hotel. This one had a nice restaurant and friendly barman, as well. Good price-quality ratio. Parking is 7 euros/night which I'm not sure I'd read in the original description.

Far, but peaceful and opposite metro rail
The hotel is like few steps away from metro, thats good. The town is on the other side of the hotel, so if u are coming by bus makesure you get down way before...check maps for more info. Its Neat,clean, peaceful. Also there is one restaurant behind the hotel, which has the very best pizza, so dont forget to try. One important thing, hotel is like 1.3 hrs far from the town, so if u are fine with taking metro and spending some time travelling, this will be a good choice. Also, try booking it directly, its way cheaper. Thanks.
