Great location, honest helpful charming staff
Stayed for a friend’s wedding in Beirut for a week, wallet fell out of my pocket in the lobby with over $300USD in it and Maya the very smart receptionist picked up on a guest playing with it, intuitively approached and retrieved it, and even when unable to call my Australian number knew to use WhatsApp to contact me predicting I would have gotten a new Lebanese SIM card while there. Rooms were cleaned nicely, gym was perfect with quality equipment, staff always friendly and helpful every time I passed by. The hotel is in a location in the heart of Hamra which is close to all places I needed to be all around Beirut for the wedding events, can’t go wrong with this hotel. If you’re obscessed with sea views it not in a place for that but it’s in the real part of Beirut in the real culture and just down the street is Barbar the place known for the best shawarma in all of Lebanon. Just a short cheap uber ride away from all the other places in Beirut. Glad I chose this hotel. Good English movie channels to enjoy before doIng off to sleep :) Keep up the great work! Especially impressed with Maya’s charm and professionalism.

50 Euros Stolen, Terrible Clearning
We were staying in the hotel for 11 nights in a Business Suite. The guy at the reception gave us a free upgrade to an Executive Suite. Few days before we leave, we went out for 2 hours and asked for room service, only come back to find that 50 Euros were stolen from my Wife's purse, along with a plastic box used for earrings. The security officer's response was that they are not responsible about anything that is not put in the Safe, and that they never had such an incident before. I wasn't expecting to get the 50 Euros back, but a different response from him would have been appreciated. Lastly, cleanliness. On some days, it took them around 6 hours to clean our room. Most of the time, coffee cups were not removed from the bedroom. Once I went out at 6PM, there was food leftover from the room facing us next to their door. I came back at 11:30PM to find out that food was still there. On a postive note, the location is great and you can usually find a parking spot in the streets around the hotel, which is rare in Hamra, and the staff in the reception are nice.

Poor 2.0
The location of the hotel, the In-Room Dining, the lack of soundproofing and the frequent electricity failure made my whole stay quite inconvenient and unpleasant. Taxis had a difficult time finding the hotel and some Uber drivers cancelled my request because they couldn't find the hotel. The In-Room Dining serves expensive, poor quality food and sometimes the tray ends up outside of the room for days. The noise from the neighbors made it almost impossible to sleep at night and the frequent electricity failure (especially at night) made sleeping a true hellish nightmare. The AC had to be turned on 24/7 for the room to cool, which was impossible because it keeps turning off at night. The only good thing about this hotel are the big rooms with the balconies and the super friendly staff. Everything else is plain bad.

Aesthetically speaking, it looks like a place you'd get five star service at, but upon checking in, it became apparent that was not the case. Customer service was careless and rude. We got charged for one extra person (which never happens) and when we requested a rollaway bed, they brought us a box spring NOT a matress, that is impossible to sleep on. When we complained they said there's nothing they can do but they'll try (which they didn't and nothing happened). We ended up uncomfortably stuffed in a bed for an emergency family trip. The room smelled like cigarettes even though it was nonsmoking. When we wanted to call reception, often the line didn't work. The TV was not functional. Check out was so slow and unprofessional. Honestly, I'd never go back or recommend it.

Worst customer service
The staff was very rude, they do not come to clean the room and if they come they will only clean the washroom! The toilet flush was broken and i asked several times for it to get fixed! They respond like 7 hours later! They were trying to charge me for a phone call that i never did and also were trying to make me pay for one of the towels and saying that it was super dirty that they cannot clean! At check out they didnt want me to talk to the manager and were lying by saying that they do not have a manager on duty! I do not recommend this hotel to anyone
