Beautiful Hotel
Beautiful hotel amazing service great location The only problem was some late night early morning noise. I mean it sounded like a car with a giant subwoofer was right above my room I suspect this was one off problem I'd definitely stay here again

Needs Improvement
This is my husband and my 4th stay at The Gansevoort. When we checked in we were asked if this was our first visit. As a frequent traveler, I believe a high end hotel should know it's guests have visited before and welcome them back. We let the front desk know on 2 occasions that our shower was leaking, it was never fixed during our 3 night stay. This morning the elevator alarm went off for 30 minutes. Also they only offer free coffee from 6-7 am. The location is great, the rooms are dated but on the larger side. The crowd is cheesy in the bar, and the music is pretty loud on the weekends. Overall a mediocre experience at best, this will be our last visit.

Enjoyed our stay, great location!
The location is excellent for exploring Chelsea and Greenwich Village and splits the difference between the Theater District and sights in lower Manhattan. The staff were great at check in and check out. There is lot going on in the neighborhood, and a fair amount of street noise on Friday and Saturday nights; we were on the 6th floor so it wasn't too bad; we also had a good view. The room was generally comfortable; we had a king bed that sagged a little bit, otherwise the bedding was clean and snuggly, and the pillows good. We enjoyed cocktails at sunset on the rooftop terrace which were very good, and the view is spectacular. We didn't have any other food or drinks at the hotel, but what we saw looked very good and there were a number of people that came for happy hour in the best downstairs. Be aware that they charge for the Illy coffee pods in the room. The bathroom was clean and large (we had a suite).
