Great experience! Hotel was minutes away from the Marienplatz market, restaurants, and transportation. Bed was comfortable enough... could have used more pillows. Great price for 2 rooms for my family of 4. I would stay here again.

Poor 2.0
Strachuss hotel
I'm afraid it felt like I was staying at a hostel. It was clean but that's all it had going for it. There was an 2cm gap under the door so when you switched out lights the light from the landing was shining through. I'm sorry to say I didn't feel safe.

OK if you're on a budget
Great location close to city attractions. Hotel like a downmarket Travelodge. Decor & fittings clean but basic. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Shower door leaked & clearly had been doing so for sometime as the door surrounds had historic water damage. Could hear the occupant of the next room snoring clearly one night suggesting walls on the thin side. Staff pleasant & helpful

Very friendly staff always willing to help.My only problem was after 2 nights I had to rebook the same room for the remaining 2 nights

Not what we expected.
The location of the hotel is close to the subway. That’s about the only positive. Unfortunately this hotel is on a busy street where sirens and late night yelling will keep you awake at night. We asked to change rooms to somewhere away from the street and were told we would have to pay +$160 per night (the room per night was only $100)?! Our bathroom door broke the first time we used it (fell off the track) leaving no privacy between the restroom and the bedroom. How romantic. Haha. We reported to the front desk and she said “ok”. No one ever came to fix the door the rest of our stay. I’m not one to leave reviews ever... I just don’t care. But this place was the worst and hopefully someone will read this and know better than to stay here. Uncomfortable bed, flat pillows, small and cramped space. The neighborhood around is bad. The next street over is full of strip clubs.

Served its purpose
A good, clean and basic hotel, the main selling point of which is its location just outside the Karlsplatz entrance to the Altstadt. Expensive for what it is but Munich hotels seem to be generally expensive when compared.

Fair 4.0
Our room was on the street side and the noise was unbelievable all night. They should refund my money for this stay!! With no air conditioning- we were forced to open the windows in the middle of the night which made matters worse. Our breakfast was not included and we were treated in a very unwelcoming manner by the waitresses who never came to our table to check on us.

Great location and service
Stayed here for Oktoberfest and was the perfect location to get to the grounds and explore the main city. Spacious clean room and would recommend.

Centrally located, good value hotel.
The Hotel is in a great location, close to the old town and the sights. We had a room facing the street; it was clean and comfortable but was rather noisy due to the traffic and a construction site adjacent. Although the noise didn't bother me, it kept others in my party awake. The room was also very warm during the night. That said, if you are looking for a reasonably priced, centrally located hotel, consider Hotel Stachus.
