Don’t stay for more than one night or if you have lots of luggage. No storage space near your capsule, mandatory check out everyday, even if you stay multiple nights, ¥500/hour fee for not checking out. Huge hassle.

Cheap and cheerful for the Japanese experience.

OK if on a pub crawl and young.
Only good for a 1 night stay when exploring Tokyo until the early hours of the morning - not restful but a good roof over one's head to get a rest, get clean and get ready for a flight home or move onto another city. Busy with such like minded guests so dont expect more than 4-5 hours sleep. Also if over 6ft tall........ a little cramped. Overall would do again but for 1 night only.

Super uncomfortable, and only given a tiny locker!
This capsule is not recommended for people who have luggage. There “storage” area is just a small area beside the check in desk, with no locks or staff monitoring it. Literally anyone can walk up and take your bag and walk out. Then the capsule was quite hard and uncomfortable, and felt like sleeping in a bathtub. As if that wasn’t bad enough, the temperature on every floor of the building was boiling hot! (Also they said after 11pm is quiet time, but some guys came in at around 2am and we’re practically yelling at each other.

Good hotel and good value for the cost
Good conditions for a Capsule hotel. Lockers are located downstairs by the front desk. That is the only downside. Anytime you want something from your belongings, you have to get dressed, take the elevator downstairs and go thru the lobby to get to your locker. Other than that, it is a very good capsule hotel and in a good location next to Shinjuku. The A/C at night was good so the room did not get hot like in some other capsule hotels. Very good value for the cost.

Unless novelty or last resort. Not worth it
Eh, other than the novelty of it, id pay a little more and get muchhh more freedom, space, flexibility, privacy, ability to relax, etc.. elsewhere... your locker is on another floor - of which is tiny - and you have to take a cramped elevator to get to it. Dont keep anything valuable in your capsule, there's no lock so people can just go through your stuff if you're not there. As someone did with mine.

My new year stay in Tokyo
The first night the capsule was cold and not comfortable to sleep. The restaurant was closed over the new year. I booked 3 nights and was obligated to check out every day at 10.00 and check in again at 16.00. The shower area was open with no privacy. Overall, I experienced better capsule hotels in Japan
