25th Wedding Anniversary

We were married on Matamanoa Island 25yrs ago. It was beautiful to come back, not just to the resort, but to the people. Family members of those who were in my wedding party are employed there and we're so pleased to see the photos of their aunties, their mum and my warrior still works on the Island. The staff were all fabulous. We were initially not impressed with state of bathroom but this was promptly rectified and cleaning was good for the remaining days. Our bure was fantastic- a few steps from the sand and it had great outdoor area with private plunge pool and day bed. Breakfast and lunch menus stayed unchanged. They need to anticipate running out of some food items before it actually happens. Food at dinner was generally good and the menu changed daily. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.Recommend it for a very quiet lazy time.

Loved our stay at Matamanoa - beautiful location, stunning beach, beautiful, well appointed bures, good snorkelling off the beach, stunning sunsets. The food was good , ample servings but could be improved with more fresh salads and fresh vegetables. The staff are absolutely wonderful and could not do enough for us. For those looking for a quiet intimate experience, Matamanoa is excellent. Mostly couples both young and older. There a a few activities offered but mainly, this is a place to relax and enjoy your surroundings. Accommodation and food are great. Staff is freat.
