Would do woods

Very charming rustic feel, could use a bit of updating but easily overlooked for the woodsy theme and rustic appeal. Fireplace and wood provided.

Beautiful

Such a cute place. We weren't there long, but i would definitely stay there again. Also, if you're looking to disconnect, there is no cell service.

Thumbs up!

We needed to get away from the city. We wanted a quiet, comfortable, and cozy room We found it, staff were friendly, it was a great base for all of the places we wanted to visit. Manley's Tavern and the Perk at Diamond Peak were both excellent, and all of the ladies were so friendly!

Nice stay!

Excellent location and very reasonable rates. Pros: Wood fireplace, spacious room, grocery store and restaurant with walking distance, vibe. Cons: rooms are very dated.

2/10 Poor

Run

Pros: nice lady at the front desk, beautiful location. Cons: the place was disgustingly dirty. I don’t mind an older cabiny experience, this one was dirty. My friend went to get in bed and there were hundreds of dog hairs in the sheets, the dog obviously slept under the bedding! But it was never changed. Mold and dirt in the bathroom everywhere. The shower handle was broken, you had to hold it so it wouldn’t come disconnected from the wall. The coffee pot and kitchen looked like it had never been cleaned, old icky coffee was stuck in the pot and on the machine. Dead bugs on the window ledge. There were old coffee papers in the basket, obviously not cleaned out. There is no cell service and the free internet was spotty at best, which, if that was the only problem I wouldn’t complain, we can survive without that for a day. I highly recommend finding elsewhere. Camping would be cleaner.

This place was awesome! It had a great 80s-90s winter chalet vibe. The in-room fireplace was really a treat, and the bed was comfy. Also very doy-friendly! I'll definitely stay there again!

Needs updated on the rooms. Every thing in the room is old. They ran out of fire wood. It is close to skiing which is why we chose this place.

6/10 Good

Very old fashioned, kind of fun to see. Decent price for size of room and location. Nice restaurant/bar close. Don’t expect any frills in the room, but it’s clean and comfortable.

Very disappointed with the false advertising. Did not receive the room that was advertised on website. Management did not do anything to accomodae and claimed there were no other rooms. No housekeeping was provided and did not receive enough bedsing or towels for my reservation number. Property is very run down.

Mountain Lodge, Fun in the Cascades

Very convenient to the ski area and outdoor recreation activities in the area. It's an older place but the room was very spacious, with a nice fireplace/woodstove to keep the room warm. was very cold and icy when I was there. There is a store across the street/hiway with food, gas and souvenirs. Desk staff were very helpful and professional. We will for sure be back. Family friendly place would be fun with kids in the warmer weather. Also a coffee wagon in parking lot. Only issue was I was on ground floor and could hear people upstairs on second floor walking around so it was not very quiet until after 10PM.

Had an amazing 2 queen plus a futon in a huge room. Private bathroom. Beds comfortable enough. Fridge, stove, plates, cooking supplies all available if needed. Room was rustic and cozy. Had everything we needed including shampoo conditioner soap and lotion. Shower pressure good, hot water. We were super happy, especially for the price. Little coffee shack in the parking lot had great breakfast options too. Gas station/convenience store right across the road.

4/10 Fair

We were pretty disappointed for the amount of money that we spent for this booking compared to what we got. We were looking forward to the fireplace and the kitchenette that the website said the rooms had, however our room didn’t have either of these. Upon entering the room, it smelled musty and smoky, like a bar. (We were in a non smoking room.) We were OK with it being “rustic” but for what we paid ($150/night), it was definitely not worth that. We were told that the satellite was out due to the storm, which I understand, and that they had a library of movies. We were OK with that, until 20 minutes into a DVD movie the player just stopped working. There is really no choices of food in the area, besides a bar whose food was pretty dried out and a small Mexican spot, which was good but not open for dinner. We picked this spot because we were going skiing at Willamette, which was close and convenient, but next time I would just save my money and do the day trip to Willamette. The cabins may be much nicer, so maybe check those out, but I wouldn’t spend the money for the hotel, as I have stayed in Motel 6s for half the price that were much nicer and cleaner. We didn’t even stay the second night and went back home.
