Lovely family stay
Stayed using the collect and redeem offer. Everything about the stay was easy from the moment of booking, until check out. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly, trying to understand where our room was located was tricky, but they gave us a map to help us. The spa / pool was great and the kids loved it. The breakfast could have been better (they were having issues with the coffee machine, which had been ongoing the whole weekend), they also ran out of pastries and the toaster took an age, but it didn't bother me. The Sunday lunch in the restaurant was very nice and very filling. The waiter who served us was very friendly and very helpful, even when we asked for tricky requests. The staff are a credit to Dunston Hall and made the stay enjoyable. Thank you!

Great stay but Breakfast chaos
Nice night away at Dunston Hall, room was nicely set out but being picky it was very dusty and hadn’t had a good clean before we arrived. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was chaos though, only one coffee machine working, no glasses for the juice, very little options on cold buffet food and the hot buffet food was slow on being topped up, there was a lot of guests on the day we stayed but you could see that the staff were struggling to keep up.

4/10 Fair

Not very happy, Two nights with little sleep
Firstly our room was an extremely long walk from reception requiring going up and down in 2 lifts.(which wasn't ideal as i am waiting for a knee op) but i understood that due to the size of the building it probably couldn't be helped. The decoration and furniture was tired and worn although it appeared to be clean. Our main issue was the noise in the room! continually about every half hour a generator or pump kicked in which was loud enough to wake you from sleep if you could actually get to sleep in the first place. We called into reception a couple of times but it was empty although we was told after that you have to stand by the counter and wait to be seen on the camera? the room was also quite cold and no radiator seemed to be working or able to be regulated, and finally when going to breakfast we was told that they didn't have any eggs? which i consider an essential part of the full English breakfast that i paid for. No attempt was made at reception to remedy this and we only received a half hearted sorry and that they would knock off the couple of drinks we had to pay for on our bill? (not really the point?) The reaction from the staff about it all seemed to be one of not really caring and just quickly moving on to the next person waiting at reception.it is a shame because it is a lovely building but it is quite common when you walk around to hear customers complaining about different aspects of their stay and attitude of the staff.
