Upon arrival to my first time in PR, i can say that the room was very clean and well organized. Air conditioning worked amazing and i like how it has a 65” screen right in front of the bed, not like other places that have very small TV’s. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at The Buoy, if i have the opportunity to go again to PR i will booked the same room. Close to the beach and restaurants. Very calmed neighborhood at night.

We stayed here for 5 days during our trip to Puerto Rico and had a great overall experience. Check-in was easy, the property was very clean, and the AC worked really well. We didn’t encounter any bugs, and having parking right in front of the apartment (we stayed in Apt 2) was a huge plus. I did see reviews about street noise, but coming from New York, it didn’t bother us. If you’re sensitive to noise, it’s something to consider. The backyard is a nice shared space with individual hammocks, though it doesn’t offer much privacy. The only downside was the bed — it was a bit too firm for our liking. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this place and would stay here again!

The room looked nice and clean. Plenty of amenities and towels were provided. We really appreciated having access to beach chairs and beach towels. Unfortunately, the bed was very firm and the shower would leak water all over the floor because of the cheap shower curtain. The location is close to the main roadway which was loud with cars revving their engines and honking at very early hours of the morning which made it hard to sleep. Although it was nice, we would not stay here again for those reasons.

Was not impressed with The Buoy. We booked the "Premium Apartment" which lists, among other things, a separate bedroom, a kitchen, a living room, and a yard. The room we were assigned had NONE of those things. It was essentially a hotel room. Definitely not ideal for four adults. Please look closely at the appropriate pictures for the room you book because their definition of the amenities listed above is certainly not in line with what a normal person would expect. Beyond that, the bathroom lacked a fan so the humidity after taking a shower prevented you from even being able to dry off. There also was only one towel rack - not enough for four adults to dry their towels. I will say that the room was clean and the area felt safe. A lot of street noise at night though. I tried to address my concerns with management the night we checked in and was basically told the room had all the amenities listed so there was nothing they'd do to fix it. I can tell you if you plan on booking The Buoy just for sleeping it will probably suffice. However if you plan on making meals there and being able to spread out and relax at night - like we had planned to do - this is NOT the property for you. This is the first negative review I've given on Expedia for a property. I don't take this lightly, but I did give them the opportunity to put us in a room like they advertised and was told there is nothing they will do. And to top everything off - there was no free bottle of wine either.
