    Nice comfortable stay

Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff were helpful and polite. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Room had hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo, towels, TV and most importantly, kettle with tea and coffee! They have wake up call for Northern lights but I wasn't fortunate enough to see it. There is a great view of mountains at the back of the hotel, and also a 20 min trail behind the hotel leading up to great views of the glacier and mountains. Breakfast was included and was the usual ham, cheese, salad, fruits, bread, cereal. I appreciated that they had 2 hot items consisting of bacon and scrambled eggs, a lot of the hotels I stayed in Iceland didn't have hot options, so thumbs up. There is petrol station, restaurant and convenience store right opposite which is handy.

    It all about the glacier!

Good hotel, decent enough breakfast. The 15 min walk to the glacier behind this hotel is the big win with this hotel- the glacier is stunning!

Excellent location. Staff very friendly. Path to glacier was amazing took 15-20 mins each way. Once you get to end of path stay left and go up small mountain and you will get a breathtaking view of glacier. It was easy and amazing. We had dinner at the cafe in the gas station due to its good reviews. Food was reasonable priced for Iceland and lamb burger was great! Its not a modern hotel but has everything you need. I am glad we stayed here due to path to glacier. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good selection as well. We enjoyed our stay.
